Used to order frequently at the Hungry Howies in Navarre but not anymore my last order(my usual salad) they added a little something extra, somebody’s clipped nails! YUCK and unfortunately or fortunately it was my only 2nd bite. The raccoons loved my large $ 8 and something salad. Should have known the person who took my order sounded so thrilled(ha ha) like I was disturbing him. I usually order online just so I don’t have to deal with people but I wanted something extra added to my order and they didn’t have it on the online bad move on my part. Now I have to find my new favourite salad, anybody have any suggestions? Because I will not be eating at ANY Hungry Howies at all!!!

Worst pizza I have ever had and worst service ever. The pizza was cold and had no taste. I had been in there twice before and was asked each time, what flavor crust i wanted. Was not asked this time and it had no taste. I ate a sliver size slice as I left the parking lot. It was ice cold and bland. I went right back in and asked about the crust. I was told you have to tell them what flavor, that they do not always ask you what kind of flavoring would you like. The manager took the pie and drizzled thick grease around on the crust and a little cheese. He said that was all he could do. I told him it looked gross and wanted a refund please. He refused at first and was very rude and insulting. He told me I just wanted to eat the pizza for free. I told him if that was the case, I would have eaten more than a sliver. I taught high school and he reminded me of why I retired early. He had no people skills what so ever. I was amazed that he was left in charge and was the customer contact person, when there was a problem. He should not be managing a store. I asked for the owners contact information and they refused to give it out. How will this store ever improve if a snotty kid has a free hand in running it and the owner has no idea what is going on between his staff and customers.

The only reason to ever eat here is if… There is no reason to eat here or order their pizza. It’s bland and tough, imagine eating cardboard with ragù slathered on it. Like the other person said just order Papa Johns.

Went there twice so far and I can say that I’m not a big fan of this place, most likely won’t be back. The first time I had garlic flavored crust so I thought maybe if I get regular crust I will like it better. As good crust is a must for a good pizza I wasn’t impressed with it at all. I don’t think they put any salt in their dough and to me no salt makes the crust taste like cardboard. Garlic dusted on top of the crust and burnt from the oven just made it bitter. Sauce wasn’t impressive either so no matter what else you put on top, it won’t make a great pizza.

Can’t really complain about spending $ 5.00 per medium one-topping pizza, can you? I can. The reason why it is $ 5.00 per medium pizza is because the pizzas are nothing but skinny dough, barely there cheese and barely there topping. That is all I have to say about Hungry Howies, other then my vegetarian pizza had quite a hair cooked in within it’s crust. Other places around the city also have $ 5.00 medium sized pizzas, I think I’ll be going to them instead. So far my best Navarre pizza experience has been with Papa Johns.
