After going to numerous tattoo shops to get a bottom of the foot touch up (I’m aware it’s strange and wears off quickly) and being not only laughed at, condescended, and spoken very rude to — I came to ink spot. They only warned me of the wear and tear and agreed. They were very polite and very patient. Great customer service. Corey did the tattoo and I absolutely recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much, ink spot!

I will not be back here again. While I cannot speak of all tattoo artists there, Jason McDaniel lacks true pride in his work and lacks work ethics. He does not care about how your tattoo turns out after he has been paid. He continually brushed me off about getting my touchup done to fix his mistake and take care of some other things he said he saw he wanted to work on. I had a shaky line and some other areas that needed fixed from my first session, which could have been taken care of at my second session. He did an extensive (and expensive) tattoo on my side and at my second/​final session, he said at the beginning he would make an appointment for me before I left for 1 month out for a touchup to fix the crooked line he did and some other things he saw he wanted to work on. Then at the end of the session, he told me to text him in about a month to schedule the appointment. I contacted him a month later and made my appointment. When I came in, he was tattooing someone and was nowhere near done. He said he somehow thought I meant the next Monday, so we arranged for it to be the next Monday same time. I went in for my scheduled appointment, and yet again, he had someone and was not going to be done anytime soon. He told me that he could see me Friday and to text him on Friday to get it done. I texted him early on Friday, and he then said he was out of town for the weekend. Since that time, anytime I texted him about putting me on the calendar, all I got was that he is booked up this week and has not had time to look at his calendar for the following week. I continued to ask he continually told me he had no time to look at his calendar. I find it funny that he had no time to take 1 minute to look at his calendar and yet kept his calendar booked up all the time. After four weeks of doing this, I decided to pay someone else to fix it for me. He never had any intention of fixing my tattoo, and when I pointed out the shaky line to him in my second session, he had told me it was due to stretch marks. First of all, I have no stretch marks as I have never had children, nor have I ever been overweight (I have always been thin), and if he meant it was due to the stretching of the skin during the tattoo process, the crookedness stands out even more when you do stretch out the skin. Also, the inked line did not even stay on the outline that was put on me… so I suppose stretch marks and stretching my skin made him miss the outline when inking me???
I would not recommend seeing him for a piercing either. While being tattooed and only at the beginning of my second session, someone came in with their family members wanting to get a nose piercing. He told them to come back in an hour or two, knowing full well that he would not be done with my tattoo. They came back while we were on a break from my tattoo. He was outside smoking and when he came back in, he did not even acknowledge their presence. I had to tell him that they were waiting to see if he could do the piercing now, and it was only then he talked to them and he told them he could not do it and to come back another day. They wasted hours of their day trying to wait on him to do a piercing that he could have easily done before starting on my tattoo again.

After meeting some rude arrogant artists. And inexperienced artists. I Called to check out the Ink Spot. Spoke with Jason. Very nice and helpful. Came in later that day for a consult. Once again, very helpful and patient. Saw portfolios. Very talented. Decided to get the work done right away. Took a few minutes to finish up another client and sat me right down. I am very happy with my entire experience there. Thank you Jason and crew of the Ink Spot. I love my tattoo.

If you ever are in Destin and are hankering for a new tat — go on over to Steve’s Ink Spot. The guys there were patient with us as we paged through notebooks until we found «the one». I got an «Ankh» and my friend got a beautiful butterfly and they were both done with great skill and artistry. The price was also pretty good for the size and amount of work that these guys took. Everyone in the shop was friendly, it was VERY clean and we all had a very good time. When I go back to visit my sister, I am definitely going back for another tat!
