We were with a group that rented four rooms. Two of the four reservations were lost and there were no rooms us. Told us they would charge us for roll always too. Staff was not the least apologetic — openly hostile. Got the roll always and the staff actually brought sheets but we were told to go and ask one of the other rooms if they had blankets and pillows. Hot tub broken and unable to be cleaned but they were letting people in there anyway. Gross. «Breakfast»: Toaster broken No plates No spoons Coffee needs refilled(but the woman who told me she needed a break before it would be refilled told me I could go make some in my room) Bottom line: the staff doesn’t care about you or your experience at the hotel. Rooms are fine and can be very convenient for family given the layouts and size. But I have my doubts that they are really cleaned given the lack of pride the staff takes in doing a job right. And I would make a back up plan for breakfast — even the«Cheerios» we’re bad

Nice ambiance, Wild West feel to it. That said, the heat in our room was non-operable other than a small electric fireplace in the corner. Also, for a surprise when I woke up in the morning, no hot water. I don’t mean that the water was lukewarm, I mean that it was ice cold. The continental breakfast was really good, biscuits and gravy, and Denver omelettes. All in all, I would probably stay here again, however, I would ask for a room with heat, and I would take a shower at night to see if that makes a difference. That, or maybe bathe in the horse trough, to complete the wild West theme to the vacation.

The front desk staff is so sweet! Love staying here when I come into town! Truly an experience not to miss. Very authentically«Nederland». If you’re looking for a place with all the small town charm Ned has to offer look no further than the Magnuson!

The charm of this marginally managed log fest wears thin when the bed starts squeaking. Not the door too! Man can this place use a little WD40 and a wrench and someone who cares enough to spray and turn it. Even a half-ass handyman could do wonders in seconds as most problems seem only a glance or two away from invisibility. Still, perhaps the rickety nature of this enterprise portends something more substantial. Complaints are drowned in a well of buck passing and the like. I’m pretty sure no one is actually in charge. There were no spoons for Cheerios at breakfast and screens missing on the windows and hot tub lukewarm but somehow it’s all part of the charm. It’s all in keeping with the high-priced slack ass hippie vibe in the town which is sure to bring out the Padre grande in you sooner rather than later. Mediocrity par excellence!

Very pretty. But the front desk staff is barely civil. And I have been waiting for over an hour for hot water and none yet!!! I’ll take not as pretty and hot water any day. Called the front desk about it and the guy was super pissy. My guess is I am not the first guest to call him complaining…

Now the«Lodge At Nederland». Nice large rooms with fireplace and windows that open. Centrally located on the middle of Ned. Clean and quiet, at least right now in the fall. The rate at this time is not bad for being the only game in town. Free breakfast in the lobby, not bad.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nederland Best Western. Spotless rooms. Friendly staff. Great decks. Walking distance to everything! Can’t wait to return. Be sure and try Back Country Pizza across the parking lot for happy hour.

We have enjoyed staying here every year since the kids were small. We always get a King bed with adjoining living room with a sofa bed. This year, they switched it so that the king bed is in the larger room and the sofa is in the cozier room deeper in. Good choice! It feels so much larger overall. The rooms are always very clean, well stocked, and quiet(I always bring earplugs to any hotel though). There is a microwave, a small fridge, and a small extra sink outside of the large bathroom. Between all of this, the updated TVs, and the pine wood ceiling and furniture, the place feels very comfortable. The king bed has just the right amount of firmness. This place would be a five star except that I don’t like it that they accept dogs. Nothing against dogs — we have our own, but barking in the room and knowing how dogs can be in a new environment I feel that it’s a service that they don’t have to offer.

The building and rooms are amazingly beautiful. The fresh egg breakfast, not so much.

Cozy. Warm. Big Rooms. Stayed here on short notice with a few friends while adventuring on mountain roads. The beds were cozy and the rooms warm and inviting. I had zero problems with the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good too…

It seems like a nice, convenient place to stay. Centrally located where you can enjoy the town, especially during Frozen Dead Guy Days first week of March. Unfortunately I reserved rooms for friends that committed to coming to the festival but all backed out. I had 3 rooms on my credit card for the weekend. I called to cancel 1 week ahead of time and they had a 2 week cancellation minimum. I was patient after talking to them, saying they would probably sell out, no worries. The entire week they were sold out on their website, and the management said it was their choice to show sold out because they didn’t want to oversell. Even though they weren’t sold out. They, in essence, held my credit card hostage to keep the rooms full. At first they were nice, when I pressed on the website issue they got defensive and nasty. I sort of gave up, thinking it was my fault for not cancelling the rooms in time and being the nice patient guy that I was to them… there’s no way they would charge me. I mean, only nice people live in Nederland right? They charged me(not full amount, they did sell most rooms, but still) They had plenty of time in the middle of ski season and a festival to open up their website reservations and fill all the rooms for both nights. I even put up a craigslist add to help them. Still got screwed. Individually owned with the same chain mentality. Grab every penny you can, while you can.
