My(now) fiancé and I went to Todd to look for our engagement ring and couldn’t be happier with the ring or the shopping experience! We found Boston Private Jewelers when looking online for art deco and Victorian style antique rings. We went downtown to the diamond building and a bunch of the other stores on Washington street but were disappointed with the selection and prices. We emailed Todd through his website and gave him a listing from the website of the pieces we liked. We met up with him in an office building and he brought the rings we mentioned at online, and even more in similar styles, probably 50 – 75 pieces similar to the 10 or so I picked. His inventory is MUCH larger than what’s listed on the website. We sat and were able to try all the rings on we liked and he brought yes and no boxes to help us narrow our choices. We loved that he didn’t seem to be trying to rush us or push us to make a selection. We got it down to two rings — one about four times the price of the other, although still very reasonably priced especially compared to downtown crossing, but he didn’t try to push me to get the more expensive ring(my fiancé did). He had the ring polished and fixed up since it was an antique and we both LOVE it! After wearing the ring a couple months, the back started irritating my finger and Todd took me to get it smoothed out. It wasn’t a significant repair, but we really appreciate the fact he stood behind his product by helping us figure out what was wrong and taking us to get it fixed.
