Michael Mitry

Dr. Mitry works with Dr. Dan Rutowicz in both Needham and Dedham. I have been to him for surgery on my bunions and hammertoes. He is very, very personable; he makes himself available to patients at all times, and genuinely cares. For example, I had trouble following the last surgery in that I didn’t take the pain medication soon enough and the pain got ahead of the medication. We called him on a Friday night, he responded immediately, and told us to call at any point if we needed. He had me come in the next morning (a Saturday) to make sure my foot was okay. He treats people as thinking human beings, and explains everything he is doing very clearly. He is gentle, reassuring, and has a really nice sense of humor. My right foot is just about done, and he will be working on my left foot soon. I recommend him wholeheartedly, without reservation.
His staff is also wonderful. They get to know patients well, work with patients to fit them in for appointments when they need, and equip cowards (like me) with Chips Ahoy and water to ease the visit. All in all a very, very nice office!
