Stopped in today to order a sandwich. Went to the bathroom while I waited for the sandwich to be made. While finishing my business in the bathroom the owner pounded on the door. Once I finished and walked out he yelled at me and said customers were not allowed to use the bathrooms! These owners forgot that the only reason they are in business is because of the customer. I will not be returning. By the way the board of health requires bathrooms to be available to customers.

I stopped by to try someplace new. I tried the Ed Panella Italian sub. The roll was good but the deli meat was hard to find. My tip would be to put some meat in a sandwich that cost $ 8.50

Went in there today with my GF for lunch. We both got the chicken bacon ranch subs for lunch. Excellent subs and great people running it. I suggest everyone give this deli a try.

We came in to grab some sandwiches before an afternoon hike. Our young children both wanted bagels, of which they only had onion. This was fine, but the woman working there said they could make grilled cheese for them. When we went to pay, we were taken aback by the $ 6 price tag on each sandwich. Did she think she was doing us a favor by suggesting a much more expensive item that my kids will likely only eat half of? Grilled cheese was not listed on the menu, therefore there was no pricing to let us know how exorbitantly priced the bread and cheese sandwiches are. These are just white bread with a few slices of American cheese. Nothing special. The guy at the counter could not care less when my husband questioned the amount. The woman was very nice however and did offer our girls some coloring materials while we waited. Unfortunately, we won’t be visiting Panella’s again. If you’re looking for high quality sandwiches at the same price point, I recommend heading to Volante Farms.

Great to have Panella’s back! Have visited several times since it re-opened and have only had the same thing each time — the meatball sub. It is among the best I’ve had — hot and hearty. The roll is extremely fresh and the meatballs are tasty. But it is the sauce that’s the star here. It is wonderfully flavorful with a rich, deep flavor. Fantastic! I am craving one right now!

This place is a glorified 7 – 11 without scratch tickets and cigarettes. The people that work here are nice, the food is typical deli. They advertise pizza but are always out of it, i think it’s frozen anyway. They are always out of plain bagels. It would be better if the employees didn’t smoke out front. And what’s up with the white Mercedes blocking the front entrance. … The place has potential But it’s NOT a market. It’s a sub shop with snacks

When a place is in walking distance of your work, and it’s really good… you’ve lucked out. Not only is the staff exceedingly nice, but the food is good. Plus it’s a conviencine store. We won the lottery!(Tip — the lotto tix should be coming soon!). At work, we keep a list on a whiteboard of what’s good/what’s bad — so far, no misses! Some order mess-ups, but not many(and almost everyone goes every day for lunch). Buffalo chicken uses their own special sauce, and its good. The steakbomb is awesome. The pastrami smells AMAZING. The salads are delish. They also have penny candy and hot cookies. Yeah. It’s awesome.

Was not expecting to enjoy their Sicilian as much as i did. Very nice, clean environment. Solid selection of chips, drinks were Coke products. Also had a good selection of convenience store items that makes them a bit more of a one-stop shopping place than many others. Interested in trying a sandwich from the deli or breakfast sandwich soon!

Panellas is reopened ! Subs and cold cuts.(Boars head) Chips and soda. Soups and pizza. Come in for a sandwich and support a great local business. Panellas has been in this location(off and on) since 1927 !!

One of my favorite work lunch spots. My boss took me there once and totally converted me and I’ve only been there with him while he was driving. To this day, I still can’t figure out how to get there without him and sadly our office moved away to Waltham, and this place is too far to be one of our options for lunch. On my numerous trips there I’ve had some solid and affordable subs but they also offer a bunch of lunch specials which they prepare daily: pasta dishes, lasagna, and various other salads and such. They also have ice cream and all kinds of cookies, chips, sodas etc… general store kind-of-items of all sorts. They are also open for breakfast although I’ve never been there for it — The staff is friendly and they have a private lot with plenty of easy parking. You’ll mostly find locals here as it is far enough off the beaten path to be visited by many but they are very welcoming. The cashier even gave me a nickname!

Cox likes this construction worker/road paver hang out. Dam good pastrami grinder and great egg and cheese thing on a croissant!

The sandwiches here are delicious, fast and well made. The salads are really good as well. I like to get turkey bacon and swiss or ham /salami w/red peppers. The salads are pretty good too. I have only been here for lunch but I am going to try breakfast soon! I like the real deli feel especially in the west burbs which can be kind of dehumanizing(or maybe that’s just my office park nearby… see below). I like that you can sit there although last time my table was really wobbly and I started to feel seasick. Also, sometimes the guy behind the counter yells at you a bit but I think this is a key indicator that you are in any good deli/pizza place. This is a real deli for real people. It beats the crap out of «Unidyne» which is the café at the office park — Makes me think«It’s PEOPLE!!! IT’s PEOPLE!!!». Heston aside, I love this place.

This rather unassuming neighborhood market makes a great bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. I’ve only been there for lazy weekend breakfasts, but the sandwiches and pastas look delicious as well. There are tables to sit at(in the middle of the market, which is a bit odd), as well as an ice cream counter that I plan to visit once the weather gets a little warmer. Panella’s reminds me of the markets/delis that I grew up with in Jersey, so I suppose that is why I have a soft spot for this place. The coffee is only average(standard deli stuff), but the yummy food makes up for it. Prices aren’t bad either — $ 4.70 for the breakfast sandwich and a medium coffee.

Small general store type shop. I love this place because it has more of a home-made feel to it than most places in the area. There are too many chains around. Panella’s does mostly subs, both cold and warm. Everything is great. The staff is really nice and actually seem like they enjoy their jobs. You’ll also find a lot of the locals here. Good food, good prices, good attitude.
