I’ve decided that on my second trip here I would write a review to make up for the sub-par first time experience. Unfortunately, the second time was negative as well. My first time here we went to the restaurant and I ordered the all you can eat ribs special on whatever night that they had it. The ribs had no meat on them, and I was severely disappointed. They served me just bones with sauce on them. Our total bill was close to $ 40 so clearly I was a bit agitated on the whole experience. I do say though that the place they have is quite nice and the service was pretty good. The broccoli that my girlfriend ordered seemed to have been frozen and served after being microwaved and reminded me of the sorry excuse that one finds at Applebee’s. Last night we ordered delivery. I felt like gorging myself on a burger, so I viewed their online menu and found for a limited time they had a chili cheeseburger. There aren’t many other things that put more lead in my pencil than chili on a burger, so I ordered that and my girlfriend ordered a quesadilla cheeseburger. When we called to order, the manager lady, swore up and down that they did not have a chili cheeseburger. It just so happened that someone working with her overheard her and told her that it was on special. She apologized for being slightly rude, which I’m fine with. We waited 45 minutes for our delivery, and on the menu, it said that the burger had«house-made chili.» Let me tell you what this«house-made chili» was… it was seasoned ground beef. My burger that I ordered medium well was charred to a hockey puck, and was only topped with onions, with small cup of the ground beef to put on top. I called and spoke to the manager lady that took our order and told her the situation. She apologized and had a delivery driver send me a gift certificate. To sum up, I’ve eaten at this location and the one in Oshkosh, and at both places that food hasn’t been that great, or borderline bad, the prices have been too high, but the building and service have been good. I guess I’ll use my gift certificate to continue the search for something on their menu that is somewhat decent. *UPDATE* We used the $ 20 voucher that is mentioned below during one of nights as we moved. The $ 20 voucher was a genuinely nice gesture, as I was not expecting it to be that high. Unfortunately, the steak burrito I ordered was just steak and rice, and is just not worth what you would pay. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, and as nice as it is for management to reach out, Ground Round hasn’t done it for me on four occasions. The prices are too high for the quality of food you get.

Not impressed with Sunday brunch. It was not brunch but what you normally get as a free continental breakfast. However they made you pay brunch prices. I received a message from them saying they were changing this, so hopefully they have since I last ate here.

We have eaten here several times, the food is always good and they can accommodate a gluten free menu. They also serve Redbridge. The chef is knowledgeable on what is in the food and can even change sauces and such up if need be. The bar area is set up like a sports bar and small, however they do have a larger dining area if you prefer. We have always had good food and service here. I would also like to mention with being a Celiac patient I always have several questions and there is lots of back and forth with the chef and waiter, but they always handle it very well and are very courteous to me.

Was a little hesitant after reading the reviews about this being a «bar», but I was pleasantly surprised! More of a bar and grill. No free popcorn like other reviewers stated(?). We ordered the Ground Rounder in the Haystack version and the Hickory. Both were very delicious. Also had the Hot Sicilian. Husband loved it. Definitely try the kettle chips. I opted for the fries because I didn’t want hard, crunchy chips but theirs were more like homemade potato chips. Super yummy. Kids meal menu offered steak as well as the regular fare of nuggets and fries. Overall, everyone was pleased with their food. Great service by Katie. She was very helpful with our questions and in offering suggestions– it was our first time. Would most certainly recommend to family and friends!

That facility and location. Below average food, drinks and service. I’ve tried again and again over the years but I’m finally done.

Very generic. Seemed just like a commercialized Applebee’s to me. Won’t go back. .zero craft beer on tap.

Very friendly staff. Attentive and honest. Food is decent but not great. Atmosphere is Sports Bar. Tv’s are plentiful. Smallish but convenient if you stay in the hotel.

Lots of tv’s, good atmosphere, average food quality, everything comes in a bag or a box, even the meat. Typical WI restaurant I suppose. Great drink specials.

I have dined here once and ordered out twice. I have tried the taco salad, the southwest fiesta chicken salad, and the chicken wings. Each meal I have had was nicely presented, whether in the restaurant/bar or delivered. I was satisfied with everything except the tortilla soup I ordered with my salad — there were a few tiny pieces of chicken and the broth was not very appealing. Over all, nothing stands out as special about this restaurant, but I enjoyed the Long Island specials and the location is great.

We have been going to the Ground Round since they opened. We live about 5 minutes away, so it’s safe to say we’ve been there about 15 times. Hands down, the best bar and grill in Neenah, and the greater Fox Valley for that matter. We have never had a bad meal or experience. Their traditional club sandwich is delicious. The club sandwich is my favorite sandwich, but the traditional club is hard to find these days in most restaurants who compete to put a new«spin» on it, like artisan(hard) breads, instead of the traditional toasted white bread. The club at the GR is the best in the Valley… Maybe the only establishment that still serves the traditional club. Also, they have fantastic specials for each day of the week, including buy one burger get one free. Service has always been great. I highly recommend Ground Round.

I have had several meals here recently. I waiver between a three and a four star. Ultimately the service pushed it up for me. The food is good but not noteworthy which is nice in these days of regular disappointment. One exception was a steak omelet special, it was awesome. The steak was cooked perfectly, super tender and trimmed very nicely. I dread ordering steak in any dish(fajitas, sandwich, etc) because it is usually unchewable and difficult to even cut, like you’re getting the scraps. Not this time!

Eat here a lot. Take out options are good. The service is really hit or miss though. You either get a team that is on the ball or one that seems like it’s the first day they have ever worked in a restaurant. Breakfast is so so. Dinner is pretty decent. My steaks have always been properly cooked to order which is a good gauge to the food quality, I think

Having breakfast. Very bland and they obviously don’t toast the English muffin. I won’t be back.

Guys: I’m a little bit of a food snob so a Ground Round doesn’t exactly sound appealing for me. But I can’t write a bad review of this place. It’s really good food. Lots of Sports TV screens work for me. It’s the best burger in Neenah. I prefer other environments but the lovely Maureen insists on Ground Round burgers on our Sunday night routine. Friday nights are crowded because the Fish Fry is solid. Second best Fish Fry in Neenah/Menasha. Maureen likes the perch. I thought the all you can eat Haddock was great — I usually don’t trust buffets or «all you can» but it was first rate quality. The French Dip is quality beef slices. The Steak Bomb is a great sandwich with a terrible name. They always serve popcorn to open which is cool. Solid beer menu. TVs at every booth in the bar which is where Maureen and I prefer to eat. Wait staff works hard though can bog down when crowded which is expected. The only down side is that, when it does get crowded, it can be like eating in a crowded bar. Because it is a crowded bar. Sacrifices must be made. Bottom line: Much better than you would expect. Flavorful burgers and sandwiches and deep menu variety. It’s in our Neenah routine.

Driving home in a snow/ice storm I was looking for a place to eat. I saw the all too familiar sign of my childhood in the distance. Ground Round! The memories of many family dinners at Ground Round came flooding back. The clown who would make balloon animals, and throwing peanut shells on the ground. Those memories quickly came to a screeching hault as I pulled into the parking lot. This wasn’t the Ground Round of my childhood. Instead it was a chain bar and grill attached to a hotel. The menu was much like that of Applebee’s or any other chain. Not bad, but nothing special. Burgers, Salads… the usual. Service was good and the food was fine for what it was. If I didn’t hold it to my 8 year old child standards of the Ground Round I may have given it an extra star.

It happens so often where you see a photo of food on a menu and when it arrives, it is a tiny facsimile of what the menu showed. Here, the opposite was true! I went for lunch with my sister and my niece and each of us ordered an entrée plus my niece ordered an appetizer to share. The«bruchetta» should have been named something in American English since this appetizer did not even vaguely resemble Italian bruchetta. The app gets only one star. The entrees arrived a few minutes later and we were all shocked at the huge portions. I ordered a blackened chicken tostada salad with black beans and guacamole($ 8.95). The guacamole tasted as though it had an artificial sour cream mixed into it, which would be consistent with the color. The corn tortilla used for the tostada had been deep fried and was terribly greasy, so I removed and discarded it. Atop the whole pile of salad and goop was approx. ¼ cup of artificial sour cream, which I scraped off the top and discarded. The rest of the salad was good, including the blackened chicken. My niece seemed to enjoy her fajitas and my sister said he sandwich was«good» I’m not sure if the server was more in demand than she appeared to be but she was forgetful, although pleasant and seemingly wanting to be of service.
