Stopped here on my way to the ski jumping tournament in Ishpeming. Interior has an industrial vibe. Good selection of craft beer along with the usual BMC. Full bar. Did not eat here on this trip, but I have enjoyed the food I had here previously. I had a couple Michigan craft brews.

The burger was good but only good, no wow factor. The only thing memorable about this restaurant is the bad service. We ordered a beer and waited for it to come. Our apps and entrees came and half way through the entrée, comes the drinks. Typically it should be the other way around. Now I’m all for the server giving us space but this was just being inattentive.

We waiting forever for our food and then waited even LONGER for the checks. The waitress could not separate the checks for the life of her. She came back and forth to us four times and each time the checks were all wrong. We ended up overpaying because everyone just said screw it and paid for whatever was on the checks. It was literally the weirdest restaurant experience.

Check your bank account if you pay with your debit card. First time I caught one of the guy servers(who was a horrible server) trying to add a $ 33 bottle of wine to both tabs we had at the table, he said it was a mistake, but how do you mistakenly add bottles of wine to both tabs when noone had wine at the table. Fast forward a few months to this past weekend, avoided goin to the armpit at all costs, but friends wanted to go, big mistake. Service was horrible so no tips, so we thought. Check all our tabs today, all had tips added. Thieves and horrible business people, stay away.

What a joke Jackson Pit is… I went to place an order over the phone for dining in because it was a long day and get told«no we can not take your order» I have done this several times at many restaurants and much more higher class places then Jackson Pit … I will never eat there again what a joke of a place and Ivy if your really the manager I think you need to go back to businesses school to lean some skills in running a business … Thank you Pasquale’s for taking our order

I wish I could give this place 100 stars…1 hour later an we’re still talking about how good the food is… We all ordered something different and we loved our meals… We went for our aunts birthday… Brooke was our waitress an she is exceptional… We brought a cake with us an she asked exactly when we wanted it served… the moment the plates were cleared she had the cake on the table… All the staff was very friendly and helpful… One of the gals even helped us carry out the leftover cake an flowers… love the look of the place… thankyou!!! Next time we’re in town we will definitely be back… My favorite place in the UP

Great service, awesome sandwiches, wraps and salads. My daughter loves the Pit’s Pretzels and gets them every time. I have been here several times and have tried something new each time. Never been disappointed. Recommend the chicken southwest salad and the sweet potato fries with the vanilla dipping sauce

Jackson’s has the absolute BEST hamburger I think I’ve ever eaten in my life! It was juicy, cooked a perfectly pink medium rare with melted cheese and any number of excellent toppings. We chose the Miner’s burger and added cheddar, bacon, pickles, and onion. Their chips are house made and were crispy and delicious while my husband and kids opted for and enjoyed every last one of the french fries. We ordered take-out and I was in a chicken wingy kind of mood which would have been GREAT if we had eaten«in». I ordered them with half Buffalo and half siracha buffalo sauced. The siracha buffalo was SO good while the buffalo was a bit on the vinegar tangy side for me. The house-made ranch dressing MORE than made up for that minor sauce issue though. I could eat their ranch with a spoon, I do believe. Main wing issue was they were no longer crispy and had gotten quite soggy from the moisture in the to-go box by the time we got home which was pretty disappointing. I would totally try them again though if eating at the restaurant, especially with that delish siracha sauce!!! The kid’s burgers were the perfect portion size, a tiny bit overcooked but the kids didn’t complain too much as they devoured every last bite. Can’t wait to go back. Yum yum YUMMY!

The beer is local microbrew. The place is small and cool, the cheese steak and steak sandwiches were delicious. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Been hearing about this place for a while now, esprscially the onion rings and fried dill pickles. OMG, both to die for! Oh yea, excellent beers on tap selection.

Great food and fun atmosphere! Our food has always been worth the wait and the music makes the wait fly by. Mike & Ivy have a great business in historic Downtown Negaunee! The burgers are great, staff is friendly & the beer is local(if you prefer) and cold!

The only thing I have to say is I waited well over an hour for my food and then gave up hope. I asked to speak to the manager about the ridiculously long wait and he looked directly at me and refused to come to our table to address the fact that our wait was outrageous. I have no clue if the food is good because I flagged down the manager finally and asked to cancel the order. I would like to add that there wasn’t so much as an «I’m sorry about the wait». Beyond unacceptable.

I wanted to love this place– I am so happy that Negaunee got a hip downtown bar and grill but I feel like it needs some improvement. I am writing this review based on two trips– once this summer and once this week. We were told that the head chef from the summer had been replaced– thank goodness because my husband and I had renamed the place Grease Pit. The food was much less greasy on the second visit, came with a better atmosphere– there was a good cover band on stage and a nice lively vibe. Beer selection is excellent! We did go in on a Saturday night– it was busy, not packed but people in and out. We put in our order and waited and waited and waited. 50 minutes to an hour later, our food arrives. Mind you, we have a toddler. I do not expect the world to turn sideways for my busy toddler but if the staff knows it’s going to be a longer than usual wait because they can not handle the capacity, let the family with the toddler know. Server could have stopped by our table to let us know. End of story. The food once again did not impress– the Chicken Caesar salad was dripping with dressing, the meat of the 3rd shift burger was unseasoned and bland and came on rye bread– huh? This isn’t a patty melt! Overall, this isn’t a gourmet grill and bar, as they claim. Second time I’ve gone in and asked what the soup of the day is and they don’t have one. Second time I’ve gone away with nothing impressive other that a beer.

Wow am I glad this place is here. Now I don’t have to drive from Michigamme all the way to Marquette when I feel like a good burger and a beer. Very friendly and hip.

Stopped in to try out this new joint in Negaunee. There were some positives and negatives which one would hope will be sorted out with time as this is a new establishment. First off, the wings were fairly small and they were breaded. Nothing extraordinary just your normal bar grub. We all ordered burgers. In all we had the Pick Axe, the Olive Burger, and the Tilden Kiln. All burgers were ordered medium but came out as well done. The burgers were still pretty juicy but the onion rings and French fry portions were very small, especially when it’s $ 1.75 extra for fries and $ 2.75 for onion rings. The onion rings and fries had a perfect crunch which for me was great. With it being 80 degrease outside you would hope they would be running the AC but it felt like the heater was on instead. Overall, it was good but there are some things that could be improved.

Food is really good, service is prompt and courteous. Great selection of craft beer on tap. This type of restaurant was very much needed in downtown Negaunee.
