If any of you have followed my Unilocal adventures… you know I have moved from my Lake Sherwood, lake front mansion… to a river – front condo, in the Dells. For 15 years, I was truly blessed, to have this grocery store/gas station combo, as my go-to place for snacks,(the fried chicken is outstanding) and groceries. It also has a hardware section… boating supplies… and an «old school,» butcher, that will cut meat to your specifications. The more I am away… the more I miss this oasis of country goodness, in a sea of ordinary crapola. Miss you guys… Glen B.

So much more than a convenience store – as others have posted, you can find most everything you need here, at least to get by on a weekend/vacation. Even though they are the largest general store in the area, they don’t price gouge, and they have a great selection of most items. In particular, I really like their food selection. I’ve found delicious and cheap cheese curds there, along with really tasty sandwiches from the deli. Go early to avoid the lines; it can be impossible to find parking on weekends and holidays, and they’ll sell out of ice, corn, and other popular items before noon.

A great stop in the area for pretty much whatever you need for your camping/outdoor adventures! While staying at Petenwell County Park we drove up to Pritzl’s to buy some steaks to grill over the campfire for dinner. The trading post was a-hoppin’ — I think I saw more people there than I had all morning. They’ve got everything from groceries to a deli to bakery items to liquor and beer, clothing to pellet guns to camping and rain gear, and a scoop shop on top of it all. I’m pretty sure we could have found everything we’d need for the weekend there if we had decided to just drive up from home and get everything once we got there. In addition to the beer we got(some surprising choices in addition to the domestic staples generally found in that area), I grabbed a lemon-filled puff pastry that ended up being really tasty and filled more generously than any market breakfast pastry I’ve ever encountered — lots of goo in every bite. My boyfriend declared the steak he bought one of the best he’s ever purchased, and we even found a cute tiny mug-shaped shot glass for our friend’s birthday. It can be a little crowded in the checkout area, but the staff is really efficient and we weren’t in line for very long despite having several people ahead of us. The checker was amazing at bouncing between getting the next person started while waiting for the receipt to print for the previous patron and still wishing them a good day and handing off their groceries. You’ve got to hand it to a friendly staff that was dealing with the 4th of July crowd with smiling faces!

Some of the best brats I have had. I always bring several packages home to Chicagoland. Practically anything you need from gas to groceries to beer to hot lunch and fried chicken. Oh, and fishing supplies and bait too.

Great local place to stop to get nearly anything you many need and not get totally ripped off either. Nice deli and meat selection with good breakfast sandwiches and the family loves the ice cream. Sometimes service can be a little slow and the people a bit snippy in the deli/ice cream area but throughout the rest of the store seem to be great. If we forget anything or run out we know we can just find it at Pritzl’s

If you need it they have it, if they don’t you probably didn’t need it anyway. A great little general store that would be the envy of any small town.
