A terrible restaurant with terrible service, food, and management. Went to this restaurant with the family. My younger sister ordered Spaghetti and meatballs. Something impossible to mess up, but they did. The meatball had hard transparent clumps inside and were very cold. My mothers order of fried chicken was not breaded, meatless, and again cold. My salad was also unacceptable for something quite difficult to mess up. The greens looked dated, and the dressing was less than a few table spoons for a large salad. Other than this it took 40 minutes to get our plates, and when we complained the sh***y manager just argued with us and did nothing. Would not recommend this to ANYONE. Better places to eat in Neosho than here.

Ordered the fried chicken. Came out with No breading, just fried skin. Talked to the manager and she insisted it was fine and refused to take anything off our check. My girlfriend ordered the pork tenderloin and she was brought out a fried pork shape like you used to get in elementary school. Again, totally unacceptable. The manager refused to take anything off the bill for that either. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

We stopped in for lunch today. Their menu is extensive Breakfast, Pancakes, Biscuits & Gravy,
Sandwiches, burgers, pasta and Mexican.
We shared a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich — yum! The fries were excellent. They seem to change frying oils frequently because the tenderloin didn’t taste like other fried oils and the fries were perfect. Just as we were ready to leave, I discovered their pie cabinet … Oh let me tell you — talk about fresh homemade pie with flakey crust!
We will be driving there again soon!

Green Forest is a very odd blend of American diner and Mexican restaurant. but the food is pretty decent, and the portions are big. I like that it’s home-​owned instead of a big chain, too. The prices are good for the amount of food you get, and even though they are known mostly for breakfast, their lunch and dinner foods are good, too.

Great breakfast choice! Recommend the omlettes or breakfast skillets. Lunch/​dinner food is usually ok to good but not great. Overall, good family restaurant for Neosho.
