I had no intention of writing a review for this service stop until I read some of the others. My experience here was different and I couldn’t in good( Unilocal) spirit not share it. All staff members I met were extremely helpful and gracious even as you can see how tired they must be. It was after 4am. The Burger King staff who seemed to get most of the flack from reviews was nice to the point where I thought I MUST be on a Virgin A. flight(you know all that great service). And even when I made a booboo ordering, the cook and cashier were patient with me. I had a really pleasant experience here except for when I walked into the female toilet! If you’re eating while you read this put down your food, I repeat abort the eating mission NOW! Remember everything you’ve read on other reviews about the toilets and imagine it 100 times worst! BUT(I usually have a BUT don’t I? Lol). I as a customer stand next to other customers and hang my head in shame. We have a duty to use the bins provided and to flush after it ALL!!! GotDarrrnnit ladies!!! And cleaning staff and all staff in general, I’m sure most of you spend more that 6 hours here a day, in other words this is your home away from home. When you have guests at home do you leave each mess they make because you didn’t do it? I have to stop writing about that toilet-gate fiasco now because the visual is coming back to me!!! I think staff may regularly come under some unwarranted bad PR especially after midnight, AND most of us customers ain’t sober when we get there! Y’all be honest now. I wish I’d gotten the name of the guy at BK because he’s so worth this shout out. If you worked Tuesday 5th May 2015 around 4am yes sir, you are a gem and I thank you for the courtesy you extended to me. 3 stars to share with your co-workers. BUTCLEANTHEBLOODYTOILET. I ain’t gonna say what I’m thinking I ain’t gonna say it… Thank God, the moment has passed. It was one of the tastiest brekky sandwiches I’ve had. Hungry Freeyah is appreciative Freeyah. The End

They should bulldoze this whole place down and start over. Crappy food, crappy restrooms, just a crappy service stop overall. Meh. Basically just a place to make a quick bathroom stop and not much else. The food looks like it has been sitting under the heat lamps for two days. Most of the employees here seem like they are zombies and don’t want to be here. Like other smaller service stops in this class they have arounds 2 – 3 chain restaurants(Roy Rogers, Burger King, Pizza Hut Express), a place to get coffee and cinnamon buns, a sunglass area, some vending machines, and tourist information desk. Not much else to say about this one. If you can hold it in until the next better service stop you’ll be better off. If not, just do your business and get out quickly.

I definitely agree with some of the other reviews: The Burger King franchise here is by far the worst I have ever been to. Stopping here around midnight and the service sucks even more. 1. The bathrooms, as many also mentioned, are disgusting. I thought the bathrooms at the Grapevine/Lebec Rest Area going to LA were bad — damn, this is terrible. Floors are wet, grime and scum on the walls and mirrors, and just unkempt overall. 2. If you’re stopping by here past midnight, be prepared. Outside of the vending machines, Burger King is really your only choice during these hours; Nathan’s and Auntie Annie’s were closed. Roy Roger’s chicken? Forget it. What you see is all they have left — they will not cook any more chicken, fries, or sides on the menu. The BK staff at this service area are probably the most annoying I have encountered. It literally took 8 minutes to get my order right and that was after the cashier said«Okay, okay» four times. Want to know what’s fun? You can watch the employees make your burger. They were moving so slow, as if they had absolutely no clue what they were doing. The older short lady making my sandwich stared at a handful of lettuce for 30 seconds while I stood next to the counter trying to figure out what in the world she was trying to do.

your typical rest stop. the bathroom is ok. the food options are pretty good but some of the workers at roy rogers/burger king are really grumpy. they just look at you with this«what do you want» glare which is pretty unpleasant but besides that, it’s ok. not all the workers are like that.

Worst-run Burger King franchise ever seen. Besides the horrendous design of its kitchen counters and the lack of an order-taking system, the employees are mostly mindless peons, incapable of providing effective human service.

If the bk here didn’t have a captive audience I doubt they’d stay in business. You can’t serve burgers with warm lettuce and mayo and expect repeat business. Unless you’re the only game in town of course.

Definitely in need of a overhaul. This service area gets a lot of traffic, maybe why they dont have time to fix it. Bathrooms are super nasty, old, but at least the water flows. they are kept clean but there is only so much that can be done with the old infrastructure. I stop here every single time im going down south, since it has good gas prices and ample parking, but i think is time for me to move on to the next station since they dont want to spend money on renovations. It has 2 – 3 chain restaurants and one of those places that cell cinnamon buns/pretzels etc. some sunglass shops and tourist information. Not much else to say about this place Service sucks at the burger kings station. the people behind the burger stand, they dont have trays and dont even tell you to pick one up, they just give u the food/sandwich in your hand and the fries in the other hand. like wtf how am i supposed to pay for this when both of my hands are busy and now i cant even pick up my drinks.

A good selection of restaurants, large and clean bathrooms, and a nice little«gift shop». The parking lot layout is a bit complex and can be hard to navigate, but once you’re parked it is a good choice for a rest stop.

This service center is relatively clean and uncrowded. Access to the service center is easy in and out. The sinks work and have hot water, and you find attendants keeping the restrooms in order. Gasoline prices did not seem to be the typical«we got you trapped and will gouge you” – gas was priced comparable to stations off the highway.
