Great gym and great price no scams no additional monthly fees for once im so glad i joined and the smoothie bar is great!!!

Great gym. Best deal around. I have been a member for over 3 years now. The price is great ($ 19.99/monthly) especially if you go a few times a week. The equipment is always very clean and in good working order. I have only been to the Neptune location but the monthly fee includes access to all of the locations.
The only negative is that it is not that big and it can get busy at times, especially in the mornings on the regular gym days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). But I found if I go around 11am it is not that busy.

Pretty cool gym, great machines, excellent assortment of free weights. Courteous staff. The space is a little tight and the shakes are packed with calories. The price is very affordable so get off your butt and join the gym!!!

This is not my «home» Retro, but I went in with a friend yesterday and she had a very good experience that I thought I’d share.
My friend, we’ll call her «Jen,» was a Manasquan resident who was displaced by Hurricane Sandy. Before being displaced, she went to the Neptune City Retro and had a basic membership with a tanning add-​on. More recently she’s been using another location (closer to where she now resides), but that location does not offer tanning. When we went in yesterday so that she could tan, the woman working the front desk informed her that her «home» gym had changed to the new location and that she would have to tan there. Jen explained that the other location did not offer tanning, and the staff was very understanding and kind when helping her.
Long story short, Jen was allowed to use the tanning facilities and was welcomed back to do so as if the Neptune City location was her «home» gym. Going into this, I imagined that it would be like pulling teeth to get this worked out, it we could at all (not because of anything to do with Retro, but rather just my general experience with trying to get any company to understand extenuating circumstances (Verizon, I’m looking at you)). I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly and favorably this worked out.
I’ve said elsewhere that with Retro Fitness you get more than what you pay for (at 67 cents a day). After this experience I am even more convinced that Retro is a valuable addition to my life.

Basic gym. Good for the $.

I have been a member for over a year now and must say that they do a fine job maintaining this club. Retro is nice club for tread mills and weight machines. It is however not for the serious free weight lifters and this suites me fine. Neptune Retro is a good location right on Route 33 just off the RT 18, very easy to locate. I look froward to the opening of the Retro in Wall sometime later his year but in the mean time the Neptune location is my go to club.
For $ 19.95 per month with no annual contract required Retro is a good value. You now have no excuse to be out of shape.
