Good wings and good beer for a football, Sunday! Happy Hour is a pretty good deal, too.

I wasn’t expecting much but had a surprisingly good experience here last night. They have a couple of decent craft beer selections on tap & I ordered the Quesadillas, which were very good. The bartender(Grant) was very personable & made sure we weren’t left sitting there trying to get someone’s attention. I also liked the good music selection playing & it was not so loud we couldn’t talk. Would definitely return. Goes to show me I shouldn’t pre– judge a place!

Had the MJ Big Ruben. It was very good and the waiter brought me cold sauerkraut on the side as I had requested. Came with a party of 8 others and we were all satisfied with both the food and service. Will be coming back again soon.

Casual, fun(The bar dominates.) atmosphere with, and this is my primary reason for reviewing it, a surprising and extremely welcome attention to vegetarian options, particularly for such a style of restaurant. This sounds far more militant than I actually am on the subject, but many other kitchens could and should take a cue from this place and start putting the needs of an ever increasing percentage of diners ahead of the egos of chefs who don’t want their having to offer vegetarian options mandated. I won’t discuss my choice of(very enjoyable and satisfying) entrée so maybe you’ll go check out the menu. But if inclined, definitely go for the artichoke hearts Franchese appetizer. One very unfortunate note: I was told the potato chips are fried in the same oil as the chicken. A loss and small black mark(Maybe I am a little militant…) there, but I’m balanced enough to enthusiastically recommend the place regardless(So, to sum, let’s compromise and go with reasonably militant…). Finally, I sorta accidentally annoyed our server(Imagine…) and she remained good natured throughout, so, points there.

Always amazed to taste their dishes. Love the skirt steak salad and burgers, always done as ordered. It’s worth a visit and if you have kids or watch the game, you’ll love it even more.

I was pleasantly delighted how good the food was. Gluten free options on the back of the menu that was way more than salad with grilled chicken. Chicken parm, pizza and so much more. Escarole beans and grilled shrimp made perfectly with olive oil, garlic and a hint of fresh lemon. Made just like my Italian family makes escarole. Extensive regular menu and great bar food enjoyed by my family. Huge bar with plenty of TV’s. Food arrived quickly but trying to find our server to get the check took way too long. We arrived about 5 on a Saturday night and the place was empty but by 6 it was packed. I like eating in the bar area booths as it is away from children.

Great place. Big portions and good food. Went on a Friday night and they had a dj that played classic rock music and they had a free raffle. They just gave away prizes. Lots of fun!

We decided to try this place. It was pretty crowded and quite loud inside. They have big monitors/screens everywhere. The service was good. We tried the Chicken Parmesan pizza which is also available on a wheat crust. It was not that great since they use wheat tortilla instead of baking wheat pizza dough. The second thing we tried was the buffalo chicken wrap and asked to substitute the chips with fries. The server never bothered to inform us that the substitute will come with an added cost. The wrap itself was not that great.

Order the MJ*s nachos and ask for pork BBQ instead of chicken or chili. It is the best decision you will make for dinner this evening. They’re amazing. We came in from out of town and found their ad in our hotel guest guide. They let us place an order via phone and pick it up(they do not deliver.) Located a mile and a half from my hotel with the most attractive late night menu, I couldn’t say no. The food was fantastic, even late at night(11:00ish.) I had shrimp tacos and my son had a burger. My husband got the large pulled pork BBQ nachos. The three of us ate our dishes and his! I highly recommend!

Been in a number of times for lunch since my last bad experience. I haven’t seen the«crappy» bartender since. Bartenders I have had since were much better. I enjoy the food there… Panini’s and signature salads. Service has been friendly and(most of the time) attentive. The only issue I have is the slight smell of bleach from behind the bar and the music they play for lunch time is loud and sometimes too«hard rock». Plenty of TVs.

Started with a Corona. Should have looked at the beer list first. Good selection of national brands and local. Switched to a Kane Head High IPA. HOPPY to say the least. Next up an MJ special pizza. Looks good. Cooked just right. Vegatables were still crispy and the sausage spicy. Very Good. Just the right amount of toppings to crust. «Smitty 08» was a good bartender. Offering up advice on places to get oysters. Overall a good choice for dinner. Enjoy.

Myself and three others got there around 6 for dinner so the place was pretty much empty and quiet. Two of us split the littleneck clams app which was delicious and I had the lobster bisque which was way too think for a soup, it was almost like a cheese sauce. Service was good until it got busier and it was like pulling teeth to get our waiter to come over. They always have good drink specials and the food is consistently good.

Large, clean place with great service and a menu that has something for everyone, including the gluten free crowd. Prices very reasonable too

Four stars for a very warm, inviting, and friendly bar. The regulars are quick with a smile and conversation. The bartenders are on the ball. The place has a great ½ price apps Happy Hour menu. Free buffet on Fridays from 4 – 6. Today it was salad, sausage and peppers, potato skins, and a giant sub. Also, a very nice gluten free menu and gluten free beer/wine/vodka. The gluten free menu is on the back of the regular one, so you don’t have to be the weird«do you offer a gluten free menu?» customer. I’ll definitely be back.

How can you screw up pesto pizza and make it turn out to be a bland, frozen pizza-like imposter? MJ’s tried real hard and succeeded. This has to be frozen, pre-made crust to taste this bad. Add noisy to the equation and you get what you deserve from a chain pizza store.

Food was good. Ambiance was better. The couches and fireplace are a different feel then you would get from most restaurant. They have TV’s in every section your head turns and different sports on each. Food was good. Wish there were more sides though. Ordered the half rack of ribs which came with fries and two slices of toast. Toast? They could have offered so much more like coleslaw or baked beans or something else.

My group of six was seated right away at an outside table, and our waitress was nice. We ordered within 10 minutes of sitting, but the food didn’t come out for a very long time. Everyone in my group ordered burgers with varying degrees of cook temperature, but every burger was cooked well well done. I had specifically ordered sweet potato fries and was given some sass by the buss boy when he had to bring me out sweet potato fries on a separate plate because they got the order wrong and gave me regular fries instead. To top the whole dinner off, I ended up with food poisoning from the place. I have eaten at other MJs and enjoyed the experience, so maybe this was an isolated incident, but I did not have a great time.

Where else are you going to go? Might as well spend a night at MJ’s Big bar with tons of TVs filed with booths and high tips to accommodate your tailgate. Large dining areas surrounding the bar. Our friendly server, Brian, was quick with our drinks but everything else was slow to come. Calamari to start, my friend with a Flounder Po Boy and the Big Ruben for me. The daily special of Maryland Soft Shell Crab sandwich looked good but I’m in for the beef. It’s a huge, open face sandwich, of which I took ½ home for a midnight snack. Easily for two but that they warn you about. The food is good. With live music most nights and a DJ spinning 80s on Wednesday, we had to come back to see what that was about. Dead. No one on the dance floor and 3 packs of people at the bar. No action and nut much fun. The music was the best part. I’m sure we’ll return for some late night adventure but not expecting much in the way of speed.
