The Smithtown area’s newest and best dog run/​park by far.
What this dog park has going for it:
— Separate large and small dog runs
— Water source in both dog runs
— Dedicated parking relatively close run
— Adequate fencing and gates
— Poop bags provided
— 2 dog entry points for run
— Picnic benches just outside runs
— Adequate seating
— Plenty of shade
— Bathrooms for humans near parking
What this dog park has going against it:
— Mostly wood ground cover
— May be too shady, potential bug issue
Good dog park that opened in the Fall of 2013 and is the best one in Smithtown. Add better ground cover (pea gravel) and cut down some trees and this is a possible 5 star dog run.
*** Please Note ***
1– To access this park, you have to be a Town of Smithtown resident (I believe that is just on weekends during the summer months)
2– You have to have your dog on leash until you get to run and they do not want you walking your dog on paths.
