I tried this place for the first time today and want to say it’s good. I feel like great is something that has to blow my mind but it was definitely a good time. Our waitress was very nice and our portions were generous and delicious. I def recommend to anyone. Only downside is how early they close but, they also do open early. Give it a try for sure.

Fantastic breakfast this morning! Egg sandwiches were perfect and plenty to eat. Home fries were tasty and coffee was awesome. Service was quick despite the place being packed. I can see why it’s such a popular place.

Giant breakfast portions. One of the best Western omelets that I have had in Morris county. Sliced fried potatoes are great. Good service, waiter asked to refill my coffee twice. The only knock I give it is for poor parking and have had better tasting coffee. Otherwise I will definitely come back to try more of their food.

Food is good I love their cornbread waffles. It’s a cute little local place. Food is fast even with a big group. Their Service lacks luster they are not very friendly but get the job done. Just note if you want more water or coffee you have to catch them speeding by. It’s very busy on weekend mornings but tables turn over quickly.

It’s apparently hit or miss. We missed. Rude waitress, zero eye contact, was waiting three tables and would only look at one table then run away. We waited 45 minutes for our breakfast. Had to chase her down for refills. French Toast was flat and soggy, and blueberries with some pancake pieces mushed in was the other dish. And the coffee. The coffee was very weak. I understand it’s a local place, but just because you don’t recognize a face its not an excuse for rudeness and terrible service. Management must be aware, it seemed to be how most of us all were being treated.

Great local place with a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. Everything I’ve tried has been very good; from the pancakes to the fried chicken. Portions are very large. Service is fast and efficient. Great place to go to when you want a diner selection with home town appeal.

Wonderful and simple breakfast. In and out in a reasonable time and had no issues with the friendly staff. Certainly won’t blow you away but as a reasonably priced breakfast/lunch joint it succeeds.

I live in Manhattan and have a lake house on Lake Hopatcong. I was at the lake with my wife and kids during the week and decided to get out of the house to have some breakfast and get some work done. I went to Rose’s place for breakfast. When I finished my breakfast, I stayed for coffee while answering email and getting some work done. The waitress got increasingly unpleasant and then abruptly grabbed my check and added three coffees to it. I found this very strange since the place was more than half empty. It wasn’t as if I was keeping them from having more customers. I brought this to the attention of the owner and let him know that I would happily pay for the coffees, but that he just lost a customer for life. He said he didn’t care … «if I lose one customer, two more walk in.» Terrible customer service. I thought I found a place that I would frequent often and bring my family, but at this point I will stay away and recommend that you do too!

One of the best places to get anything. A local hotspot, it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat with friends or family especially breakfast! I’ve had many family and team breakfasts here over the years and it is consistently one of the best for an unbeatable price! When anyone around wants to know where to get lunch or breakfast it’s the first place that comes to mind.

Rose’s place is one of the best places to go for breakfast or lunch! Never had a bad meal there! Rose’s staff is not only the utmost professional but also super friendly to my wife and I. Anyone that feels different should just stay home and cook for themselves!

I have only had breakfast here but when in want to go out for breakfast, Rosie’s is rated top for me! I’ve never had a bad meal whether it is eggs or pancakes. Everything is cooked perfect and the wait staff is on top of their tables. You rarely have to wait to get a coffee refill.

Rose’s is a wonderful corner diner-type restaurant. My husband and I have been coming here since we met, and it’s our favorite breakfast place. Food is very good and it is very reasonably priced. We highly recommend it.

Been going here forever and never experienced a problem. My dad goes here every morning with his friends, and if the food was as bad as some of you claim, their daily routine would have moved elsewhere long ago. The prices are great, the food is good, and the staff are always pleasant. Yes, sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but that could be true at any popular and successful establishment on occasion! Don’t trust the negative reviews from people who turned their nose up to Rose’s after one visit… give it a shot.

the food is good, but they are rudest people I have ever Met. For fourteen years I have tried again again, today was last straw. My crime I asked if it would be more money to have fries instead of potatoes. really

We were there on a Sunday while visiting friends in the area. I wanted a diner-type breakfast and found this place on Google. The place looked packed and my husband immediately said let’s not go, but I resisted. What a mistake. There were people waiting when we walked in, but nobody greeted us. I spied 2 counter seats, thinking that our breakfast would come faster. Mistake #2. We ordered scrambled eggs, home fries, toast and my husband had sausage. It took nearly 40 minutes for our food to come out. At one point I noticed somebody calling this woman Rose and she came out and berated the staff for not putting in the orders correctly. But the problem really seemed to be the cooks. There were 3 and although orders were coming out, they were way behind. When we finally got our food, my potatoes were swimming in grease. The scrambled eggs tasted like nothing and the sausage on the side was also very greasy. This place would be a great candidate for Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon! The only good thing I can say is that the waitresses were working damn hard and they were great, despite the long wait. We should have at least gotten our coffee for free.

Rose’s is a small corner restaurant/diner in Netcong. If you drive over 35MPH you may miss it and its 6 parking spots but what it lacks in parking it makes up in menu selection. Always equipped with daily specials on soup, sandwiches and entrees, you are always up for a meal that will fill you up. The food is good and the quality of service is what you would expect from a diner. For a nice relaxing lunch, this is a good stopping point.
