Swope Medical Group

Extremely unprofessional. My daughter was treated at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in 2013 and we were billed for the services a month after. Swope Medical Group sent an invoice to my home & for some reason they claim it was returned. So instead of contacting me, they sent it to collections within less than 30 days after receiving the original bill through my insurance company. I paid the bill less than 75 days after it was originally rcvd & the company cashed it but had already sent my account to collections. However, I did not know this at the time as nothing was sent to me. Now, 3 years later I am finding out that there is a collection on my credit bureau with the outstanding payment (that was paid in full 3 years ago) and they claim that this is my fault because they received returned mail and ALL returned mail goes to collections, not matter how long the bill has been outstanding for. In my case, a total of 25 days after receiving the very 1^st bill.
What a horrible way to practice business!!!
