Office Depot

I called the Office Depot Store on State Street in New Albany, Indiana. Stephon answered the phone and assisted me. I was frantic because my 16 year old son misplaced his resumes that we had printed from the Office Depot a week ago. He had an interview tonight for a summer job and as we were walking out the door, he couldn’t find his copies. We got in the car and as we were driving down the road I had my son email the resume to the store again. I called the store to confirm receipt and Stephon immediately looked and confirmed receiving the email. He said he would take care of printing it on my requested paper. I told him I would be there in 5 minutes. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by cheerful Chelsea who had my resume waiting beside her and took me directly to check out. I was literally in and out of the store in two minutes flat! This included parking the car too!!! My son made it on time to his interview with 7 minutes to spare and walked in with a beautiful fresh copy of his resume. Wow… what service!!! Too often, customers never report when an employee goes above and beyond. I even called and had to tell the corporate office about these two fabulous employees that saved us. Thank you very much. We will be loyal Office Depot customers for life:) P. S. My son got the job…#Hats off to Stephon and Chelsea who helped him!!!

I stopped at this location to send a fax and buy some overpriced pens. I found the pens just fine. The faxing situation, however…
Depot Dude: Yeah? Whatcha need?
Me: I need to send a fax, please.
Depot Dude: Need a cover sheet?
Me: Yes…
Depot Dude huffs, rolls his eyes, snatches a cover sheet out of the bin, and slaps it down in front of me.
*blink*
I get the form all filled out and pass it over to him. He takes it, stomps off, mashes some buttons on the fax machine, stomps back, mashes some buttons on the cash register.
Depot Dude: $blahblah$
Me: Oh, I’d like these, too.
Depot Dude huffs, mashes more buttons and grumbles the new total to me.
I would have gone elsewhere if I hadn’t already had the longest day ever and just needed to get the fax sent. I won’t be using Office Depot for anything else, ever again. Frankly, the prices are not competitive and the selection is pretty limited. And, there is no excuse to treat any customer like a pain in the ass.
