This place has always been clean on the inside. The inside is very roomy. It never seems to be crowded when we go. The workers are always nice and will let you sample the flavors of yogurt before you buy. They usually have a new flavor every time I go in. I’m not to sure how long the toppings sit out but the kind I always get seem to be fresh. I believe it was 49 cents an ounce when we went in, so it was pretty inexpensive.

Curiously located adjacent to a Louisville Athletic Club, Orange Leaf allows gym-goers to stroll next door to earn back those burnt calories(though, certainly fewer than ice cream would offer) with delicious frozen yogurt in a variety of flavors and fixin’s. I think I may have eaten too much. I contend that this is not my fault, though. The cups they have are really big. You have to put a lot of fro-yo(I hate that term, but I don’t want to spell it out every time) to make it look like you have anything in there. They offer«Divide and Conquer» yogurt separators, but I want my flavors mingling, sharing tips and talking about the good olé days. So, now you’ve got a bunch of yogurt, so it is time to head to the two bars of toppings. I typically forgo all of the fruit because there’s chocolate things, but Orange Leaf’s selection of both is very good, even at 15 minutes before closing when we visited. After you’re loaded up, it is time to take your cup to the scale and pay up. The prices always seem high to me for dessert, but you really do get quite a bit. If you decide to grab a seat, there are plenty in the open floor plan. Everything in the room is either crisp, sanitary white or eye searing orange and green. The orange couches are the first to go, except the one way over by the door, in the dark, next to an interactive floor game that freaked me out initially because I didn’t know that the projected chili peppers were supposed to slither across the tiles. The music from this game also competes with the music in the main area which made both the Madonna and Prince tracks have a strange, carnivalesque countermelody. There are tons of orange and white plastic chairs around white plastic tables. We grabbed a bench on the far wall and I quickly became convinced that two of the other patrons were long lost twin sisters who had simply never found eachother. Although I did consider bringing that family back together, I decided against it, ultimately. I would imagine that the room gets fairly loud when there is a crowd. Orange Leaf is nice for a treat, but the price is a little steep when comparing it against other desserteries(pretty sure that’s a new word). I wish that they offered two cup sizes or that I had better portion self control. Plus, the location is a little out of the way unless you’re just getting done seeing a movie or looking to replenish your spent calories from an hour on the eliptical.
