After we had entered the restaurant, we were told to find a place to sit down. After searching far and wide for a clean table, we finally found one, right behind the table full of employees who were sitting, slurping their drinks. The seats were torn and the table sticky. It was a little while before we actually got our menus and were asked to order our drinks. We waited a bit longer, and the waitress came back and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered our food, 2 large pizzas, 2 sodas, and a salad. And then, we waited. We waited, and waited, and waited. It had been a good deal of time, about 15 minutes or so, and there were only 2 people in the kitchen. The rest of the employees were over at their table. It was nice to see that at least *some* people were enjoying their time here. After some time, I decided that I had to pee really badly. So, naturally, I went to the bathroom. That was a mistake. As soon as I entered, I noticed that the only thing the employees must be doing around here was spreading peach marmalade on the bathroom floors. Or at least I hope that was peach marmalade… Anyway, after I had gotten my feet unstuck from the bathroom floor and exited the bathroom, I sat back down and waited some more. After about 30 minutes, we got our food. It wasn’t anything more or less than Pizza Hut standard. We ate and went to pay, and were told that our grand total would be $ 36. $ 36 for two pizzas and some drinks. The lady taking our money admitted that we received bad customer service, and offered to bring the cost down to $ 24, the price it should have been originally. What a bargain! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys slow service, filthy bathrooms, and getting discounts that lower the cost to normal prices!

This was not the best experience at Pizza Hut. My husband and I both really like thin-crust Pizza Hut pizza, so the food was not the issue here. It was fine, exactly what we wanted and expected. BUT, we had already left one eating establishment at this exit due to poor customer service. When we arrived at this Pizza Hut, it was between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., and there was only one other table occupied. In fact, we weren’t sure they were still open for the evening. We were seated, and in a little while, our waitress appeared to take our order. While some Pizza Huts offer beer, this one did not. I think I ordered ice tea, but my husband had to try a couple of different requests before the waitress said they had that soda that night. We ordered green olives on our pizza, but they also didn’t have that. After she left from taking our order, I remember saying, «She likes to say, ‘We don’t have that tonight.’» as that was our major impression of the selection at this restaurant. Our pizza came, and we devoured it. We were exhausted from a long evening of driving in terrible weather, so we wanted to get back to our hotel. We waited for the check. We waited. We waited some more. And then some more… We noticed we were the last diners in the restaurant. My husband went to search for someone to give us the bill. He came back frustrated. He couldn’t see anyone in the kitchen, and he had walked into a side dining room where there were many employees, but they wouldn’t acknowledge him and he returned without the bill or hope of getting one. We could have just left and they wouldn’t have known … and probably wouldn’t have cared. I went into the side room and stood there in front of the table of employees. They ignored me for a minute or two, when our waitress, who had been seated at the back of the table invisible to us, stood up and I asked her for the check. Someone else came out, slowly, to take our money at the till. It would have been difficult to make us feel less welcome at this restaurant, but seeing the display of service ethics and excellence on the dining room wall(isn’t this for employee areas only?), I’m pretty sure this cracker-jack staff could have made us feel even more unwanted if they had tried. We won’t be back.
