I love to come here when I am in town on a business trip. I’ve only been here for breakfast, but lunch looks delish as well. I love to get their specials, and the mimosas are to die for! Service is good. Full service coffee bar as well. Expect to wait on weekends, but oh so worth it!

One of my less frequented favorites but I love this spot. I almost always get drowned eggs with the hashbrown casserole and I love it. Today I did the same, but the woman next to me(I was at the bar) got the bacon and egg sandwich and I was envious! Definitely in the rotation, but sad they don’t change their menu much.

This is my go to place for breakfast with my girlfriends when I’m in town. Toast offers a great menu, a quaint atmosphere and good service. We came at 8am on Saturday and we were the 2nd table seated. By the time we left at 9:30, there was a waiting line! I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with eggs whites and spinach in place of the olives. I think they bake their omelettes because mine was super light and fluffy, and not oily! The veggies were cooked perfectly. They have a great hashbrown casserole but I opted for fruit. My one friend ordered the banana nut oatmeal(which she loved) and a hot chocolate(which was huge!) and the other ordered Cliffie’s Plate(eggs, meat, hashbrown casserole and pancakes). The server accommodated her request to have the pancakes boxed(to bring to her daughter) and added a little cheese to her scrambled eggs. Nothing too fancy here, but we keep coming back for the quality. :-)

I called ahead Sunday for a group of 5 around noon to go ahead and put us on the wait list, and I was told 40 minutes. We still had a 15 minute wait once we got there, but they were slammed so it was understandable. There were also tables who had already finished and paid but we’re camping out, so it wasn’t the restaurants fault people weren’t leaving. Once we sat down they immediately got our drink order and told us the specials. Once we ordered our food it came out very quickly. My mom and Grandma both had the pancake special. They were give enough food each that they could have split and order. My egg sandwich and french toast were both great. I ate every bite. Definitely worth the extra wait.

This was my their visit so I thought it warranted a review! Toast is a very quaint joint that serves up some great breakfasts and lunch. The pat two times I had the meatloaf sandwich and Potato salad. Very home style. This morning I went for breakfast and had the 3 farm fresh egg scramble with ham, bacon, white cheddar and a garlic aioli. Garlic and eggs wasn’t somethings I thought I’d ever try but it was very good. It came with their hash brown casserole which I’ll describe as a hot cheesy potato salad. It was amazing! The restaurant was at full capacity but we got in, in about 5 minutes. They have a great selection of brunch cocktails. I didn’t try one but I will in the future. The servers have always been very friendly and welcoming.

Wow. I’ve heard about Toast On Market but first time here. In New Albany for my kids early baseball tournament. Well we are glad we came. Fantastic service. Incredible menu selection. Great prices. And food is delicious. We’ll be back for lunch.

The secret of Louisville brunch is that you go to the Toast in New Albany. Fantastic food, similar or same menu as the original Toast, and a much, much shorter wait.

I always get so excited when I get to try a new breakfast place in the area. I’ve been to Toast a couple of times. The wait is always reasonable(we never wait for more than 15 or 20 minutes, even during busy weekend brunch times), and the ambiance is warm and inviting, but the food is lackluster. During my first visit here I had an omelet. It was somewhat forgettable, so much so that I don’t remember which I had. The coffee is good and strong, and you never have to worry about an empty cup. They even ask if you want a cup to take on-the-go as you get your bill. After this first time of being less than impressed, I thought I’d give the restaurant another try before writing a review. My second visit was not better. I ordered the Steak and Eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked(over easy), but the steak was bland and limp. Atop the steak was a tomato AND raisin chutney. I wish the menu had stated that there would be raisins in the chutney; I realize that chutneys typically have a sweet component(dried fruits, peels), but I wasn’t happy to see it all over my steak. The toast that accompanied the meal had no butter; the waitress didn’t appear until she presented us with the bill, so I had to flag down the hostess when she brought another party back to be seated. By then, my toast was cold, and I was picking at my raisins in frustration. The one item I did love was the Hashbrown Casserole. This really isn’t your normal hashbrown or breakfast potato side. It’s a creamy, cheesy dollop that they plate directly from a tiny teacup. It’s perfectly seasoned and, sadly, is the only thing that saves this dish from being just«bleh.» I know that Toast has some amazing reviews. I may try them once more to see if I see the same things. Perhaps having been to so many better local places that serve a mind-blowing breakfast, I just cannot love this place. But, for now, this place is a blip in my memory of food, and sadly, not worth saving memory space.

I’ve been here twice and really haven’t been impressed either time. The food is really nothing special — very ordinary. I’m not sure why it’s so hyped up. Same with the service — it’s fine, I didn’t have any problems, but it’s nothing exemplary. I’ve had a breakfast sandwich and a South of the Border omelette. My breakfast sandwich had some kind of sprouts on it that were not mentioned in the menu that gave it kind of a funky taste, combined with the vinaigrette — just gave the whole sandwich a very acidic, vinegary taste — just not what I imagine a breakfast sandwich to be like. The omelette was alright, the salsa on it seemed like canned salsa which was a big turnoff. Maybe it wasn’t, but it sure seemed like it was. The hash brown casserole was pretty bland, i feel like chains such as Craker Barrel have a better hash brown casserole/potato side. This place gets pretty busy on Saturday morning when the farmers market is going on, but that should certainly not be a reason why the quality should suffer. There are better options around and even if you live in southern Indiana, I feel like it’s worth venturing into Louisville for a more satisfying breakfast.

2nd time here for breakfast and this place is great! My wife loved the mango mimosa and the bacon and egg sandwich might be in the top 3 of all time. I got it with egg whites and it’s delicious! Highly recommend Toast on Market!

Although I frequent this place I’m just giving it an okay review for several reasons. The mood here is drab. None of the staff are overly friendly. And the the prices are too high. They charge you extra for every little thing(build your own omelet ingredients especially). The portions are also too big and the refuse to sell you«half sizes.» My bill is always too expensive and they are constantly asking me to add farm fresh eggs for an extra charge. No thanks! Every time I ask for«light» ingredients in my omelet in comes out smothered sausage.

I really enjoyed our breakfast here, I had the pineapple stuffed french toast, and it was perfect! The coffee was also just the way I like it! What I was most please with was that even though they were very busy the staff was pleasant and attentive. Made a great start to our day. Thank you!

Absolutely phenomenal! Excellent latte! Great environment and staff. The food was delicious(had the Kings breakfast and my fiancé had the Eggs and Toast). One of the best breakfast establishments I’ve ever been to!

Got the special and it was ok. Also got 1 lemon blueberry pancake but it didn’t have much lemon flavor. The Chai Latte was awesome. I would go back and try something different.

Very very consistent eatery. I have been going to this place since they first opened, it has not changed one bit, and that’s a good thing. Not all dishes are a knock out, but everything is very good. A few things I have a hard time not ordering — potato casserole, French toast, spicy Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary specifically will cure you of any mild ailments. If you’re looking for a quality(non-greasy) breakfast at an affordable price, this is it. Hard to be disappointed.

I like this place. The breakfast manhattan is different and surprisingly tasty. The hashbrown casserole isn’t what most would expect. It has soft potatoes in it. It reminds me of a potato salad. I think it is very good. It has a nice atmosphere as well. I wouldn’t suggest going on a busy day — such as Mother’s Day — the wait can be really long. The one complaint I have is the last time we went to Toast, the waitress gave us the check as she was giving us our food. It made us feel like we needed to rush although it was a Tuesday morning and the place was nearly empty.
