It’s been some time since I’ve been to this restaurant, so I’m basing this review from the last time I was here. Located as soon as you enter the town for the four-way intersection, you’ll run into this small restaurant. Just don’t let the small size of the place fool you into thinking this is a run-of-the-mill place. Being from NC, I’ve been to my fair share of BBQ places, and this one is at the top of my list. –Wings: 4.5÷5 I’m not a wings guy. So if I say that there are wings that I loved, you can almost guarantee that the place’s wings are amazing. And Steamboat’s wings are just that. I normally order the XXX sauce on top of them, since I love hot and spicy foods. –Beef Brisket: 5⁄5 Nice and tender. Although somewhat dry, most of the time you’ll be enjoying it too much to really notice. Again, XXX sauce on this as well, which you will have to ask for. –Hamburger: 3.5÷5 I gotta admit, I was a bit disappointed when I had the hamburger from here. It was mainly flavor… it lacked it. So if the owners read this: Add some more seasonings. I guess this is easier said than done, because of allergies and whatnot. Don’t be afraid to play around with the food to get a better taste though. –Fries: 4⁄5 Nice and hot with a crunchy outside but soft inside. Just how I love them. If memory serves right, you can add seasoning to them if you’d like, or you can get seasoned fries that they put on themselves. Either or, they’re really good on their own. I always eat mine with ketchup though. That’s about it. No alcohol, which is something they should consider investing into. Not really a bad thing, more of personal preference. I like drinking a beer with BBQ. But this place is definitely worth the drive out to try. Cozy interior, friendly owner, nice staff. I recommend this place to anyone that likes BBQ, even if you do have to drive a bit to get to it. It’s worth the drive.
