Awesome service! Went outside at work and noticed I had a flat. I couldn’t get any air to stay in the tire. I called Al’s and about 20 minutes later a guy showed up and had the tires off my truck and said he’d be back in about 15 minutes. Good to his word he was back fast and had replaced my tires. The prices are fair and the service is awesome. I would absolutely recommend using them.

Let me set the scene for you: it’s the Saturday after Christmas and we’re headed back to KC. There’s snow on the ground, there’s a whiny dog in the backseat, and the car is stuffed full of luggage and presents. We have been driving for 3 hours and still have 5 ahead of us. And then the loud noise, the strong smell of burning rubber, the instant fear. A flat tire. To make a long story longer, we spent an hour in the dark on the side of the road terrified, pissed, and cold. With the spare on, it’s time to search Unilocal and find somewhere to get a new tire. Good luck with that on a Saturday at 7 pm. My first thought was Walmart(yuck) but their tire center closes at 7(convenient) and was 23 miles away(oy). More searching and I was losing hope. Then I called Al’s. I left a message because there was voicemail that said they have 24 hour emergency service. Hope! Sweet hope has returned! Al himself called me back in less than 5 minutes and said we were 4 miles away from his shop and he would meet us there. Joy! Al has a pretty awesome shop. And it sounds like a catchy name some big corporation would use but this was actually a shop… that Al owns… and he and his wife were there… he was replacing our tire! I stayed outside with the dog, who was very confused, and when Al’s wife realized we had a dog she invited him in. We have one of those small dogs who think they weigh 70 lbs and never stops barking. So she put up with that which was very nice. Al had us back on the road in under an hour. I was terrified to see the bill. It was ‘after hours’ and this was a very big nice shop for Al to own. But in this situation you just want to go home safely and in the end you will pay outrageous prices. Our total was around $ 150 I think. Definitely not outrageous. Definitely money well spent. And please people… when you see a car on the shoulder and people trying to change a tire, please, for the love of sweet baby Jesus, move to the left hand lane!
