Went here once. Well, I should say I’ve eaten here once. I’ve actually gone to the place on six different occasions only to find them closed despite their signs suggesting otherwise. One time it was 6:45PM and I went to the door to discover two teenagers cleaning up inside. The hours clearly said they were open until 7, but one of the young employees said they closed early because they ran out of food. Another few visits I arrived to an empty restaurant with notes taped to the window with excuses ranging from«Closed due to weather» to «Closed for Vacation». That latter sign has now been up since early August, so, at this point, I’m thinking Olecito, like its Boston locations, has closed its doors. The one time I DID manage to get some food here, I was pleased by the quality, but shocked by the price and portions as well as the terrible service. This is, essentially, a fast-food tapas joint, with tiny tacos, mini tortas, and quarter-sized quesadillas. This would be fine if the price reflected that, but their average torta came in at around $ 7 bucks, while their tacos were $ 3.50 a piece. They were tasty, but not that tasty, and, when one considers that a massive, authentic Tijuana style torta(and I mean MASSIVE) can be had at Mi Antojo on Rivet St. for half of that price(not to mention incredible cheese enchiladas, sopas, tacos, and other legit Mexican offerings), while No Problemo dishes out arm-sized burritos for the same bargain prices, it makes it difficult to justify visiting Olecito! regardless of its Boston roots and«celebrity chef» origins.

Both times I’ve gone here and they have been out of fish(I don’t eat meat so seafood is where it’s at for me), they charge $ 3.50 for a shrimp taco with 2 shrimp inside of what seems to be a stale tortilla, and they have salsa but no chips. Both of the employees were sitting in the dining area on their phones… I’m willing to bet they weren’t ordering any fish, chips, or tortillas. The best thing about the entire meal was the sauce and filling for the taco. I’d LOVE to absolutely love this place but they always seem to be lacking something… like product. I don’t think I’ll be returning for a 3rd visit.

This food tastes terrible, as someone who grew up close to a lot of Mexican food, I did not like this at all. This food is «trendy» food its more for hipsters than people who want real Mexican food. If that’s what you are after, which is fine, then this might be your place. The staff member who took our order was incredibly nice though, and for me that counts for a lot. I’ve lived a lot of places in my time and the east coast is by far the rudest place I’ve been so the fact that the guy was nice is why i gave it 3 stars.

They were so delicious when they first opened, but the last few times I have gone I have been pretty disappointed. Very little meat in a burrito bowl. They say it comes with the chips now, but the bag of chips are so tiny. Also the sides of guacamole are in much smaller containers. Not as fresh tasting.

Really good food but you don’t get enough for what your pay for. I left there still hungry :(. The taco portions should be larger for what you pay for one taco. If the portions change I’ll go back.

Here right now for the first time and it’s delicious! Had a steak burrito and it comes with a complimentary bag of tortillas and a nice sauce! I’ll definitely come again. Service was super quick too

Having lived in Southern California, I’m used to getting Mexican food at places like this. I got a fish taco and Abner got a marinated steak taco to go. As we got out of the car, he commented that the bag felt«light.» I’m not sure what he was expecting for two tacos. Tasted great, but Abner thought the price was a little high for tacos. Although they did have bottled drinks available, the soda fountain was out of order. Nothing fancy here. You can tell this used to be a gas station at one time.

Best burrito in New Bedford or the surrounding areas. Felt like I was in Southern California. I ordered the grilled veggie burrito and it was fantastic. The burrito was not over stuffed with rice or beans and everything was extremely well flavored(unlike some of the other Mexican options in the area). Completed my meal with churros. It was amazing. I recommend splitting it as it is quite large. Can’t recommend this place enough. Check it out! The building is actually pretty cool. As someone else said, it reminds me of a food truck. It seems most of the business here is takeout. We were the only ones eating in there but while we ate there were a few people stopped in for takeout. There are not too many tables but everything was clean and I can’t think of any complaints about this place. As I said before, give it a try! Then keep going back!

Stopped in because the reviews were good… ok here we go… my wife ordered a carnitas but they were out of braised pork which I find funny because it is only 12:30 in the afternoon and your out already. I ordered a burrito in a bowl, it was $ 7.50 and very small not bad taste but made me think when it came out like fast food. Very quick. We ordered a side of chips and salsa for $ 3.50, it came in a small brown bag with no lie 8 chips… so for $ 18.99 my review is, it’s ok but it’s definitely not No Problemo’s…

A quick lunch stop yielding a happy couple of good street food lovers. I had a Sonora, a toasted sandwich Mexican style and my wife had carnitas tacos. Both meals were flavorful, fresh, with decent portions and very reasonable prices. We also got a small portion of guacamole(fresh and quite tasty). Handy location right at the intersection of 140 and Hathaway Road. Funky but clean ambiance, a big room with very high ceilings(and old truck bay??). No liquor license(yet) but a decent assortment of soft drinks. Recommended!

This is a real find. I had the carnitas taco which was delicious and my husband had the Sonora torta which was also quite good. The interior is industrial with a hipster feel. Cement floors. Cool art. No liquor license unfortunately.

A must try! Tried the Carnitas Taco, Baja Fish and Arrachera Taco — they were all really good, but the Carnitas Taco stole the show. Looking forward to my next visit to try their other offerings. Conveniently located just off the highway makes getting in and out for lunch a breeze.

In a word, excellent. Delicious food, bright flavors, fun and thoughtful décor, friendly people. The enchiladas were delicious– pork was flavorful and fall-apart tender. Tiny shrimp taco was topped with a really well-balanced crunchy slaw. Servings are small so order a bunch of everything to share– maybe like Mexican tapas? Really hope this place thrives because it is a unique and completely delicious option for a quick bite.

Tonight my husband and I walked into this restaurant right before closing. I ordered a chicken burrito and husband ordered steak burrito to go. The outside of the restaurant reminds me of a food truck which seemed inviting. Our burritos were done in about 10 minutes and included salsa and chips. We thought the food was great, hopefully the hours will extend on Thursday Fri and Sat, with more business. Only downside was that there were no more Churros, so we definitely will be back another time. go try it for yourself, the staff is friendly and food is great!

visited these guys on 1⁄1. i was the only person in there, it was very dark. the guy who took my order was very excited about the food they prepare which made me happy. I got a fish taco and a carnitas taco they were just OK in my opinion. there wasn’t much fish at all in my taco. it was most loaded with the slaw which was mostly cabbage. the carniats taco was loaded with ingredients. so much so it fell apart like right away. i had to eat it with a fork. all in all it was just OK. i was excited before i got there and not so much when i left. it was worth trying. i can see myself going back at least another time
