Ben from Raleigh doesn’t live here and is mean for posting another review a few years after his first one in order to get it to appear first. Tom and his family have owned this shop for many years and they are generous leaders in our community. Through their efforts, not only do cyclists and just plain bike riders — he sells Electras — enjoy a fabulous schedule of rides, his group raises money for MS every year. New Bern is lucky to have a shop like this in downtown. PS: I don’t know Tom and his family personally, I’m just a customer.

Just looking back, I find it interesting if not entirely suspicious that two of the reviews are from reviewers only reviewing this one place ever, another fellow only two places. Both of the glowing reviews are not long after my not-​so-​glowing one. I wonder if someone connected with this business is gaming Unilocal!
Color me skeptical, but this doesn’t smell right.

Great family run place. Good deal on 2012 bike, liked the atmosphere and professional nature of the owner. Will start servicing my family bikes there as opposed to my LBS in Greenville.

quaint little bike shop! one of the two (that i know of) in new bern. friendly service. =)
[update] I originally got my bike at Performance Bike but the fitting didn’t seem quite right, so I came here to get a second opinion. These guys know what they’re doing! Again, friendly service that fits into the quaint personality of New Bern. Support your local family businesses! :)
