My husband and I needed to stay in New Bern for one night and wanted to have a nice B & B experience… we did. Meadows Inn is a charming house on a charming street with lovely attentive stewards. Everything was clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable, warm and cozy. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you John and Betty we will be coming back.

Cozy 19th century home which takes you back in time. Took me a while to acclimatize to the old setting. The inn keepers John & Betty were cordial and professional in the way they hosted us. They arranged a pack & play for our child which made us worry about 1 less thing to carry.
We stayed in the Granny’s attic. It is a secluded stay perched in the top portion of the inn. They had round the clock serve yourself supply of bagged and loose teas, complimentary juices and Pepsi (of course).
Betty made us quiche, cinnamon bread, home style potatoes and french bowl of fruits for breakfast. Not to forget complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice. Far more than what we had asked for.
Bottom line: cozy 19th century experience :)

What a pleasant bed and breakfast! Typical of most bed and breakfasts located in these little coastal North Carolina towns, the proprietors went out of their way to make us comfortable and were very informative about things to do in New Bern. There’s ample parking in the back and you’re a very easy walk from New Bern’s downtown «core».
