The sales staff in the Radio Shack are fantastic. The reason for the one star rating has NOTHING to do with them. The management, especially the regional manager, are insulting, disrespectful and rude. I purchased a set of Bluetooth headphones. They stopped working about 2 weeks later so I returned them. I was given a new set of the same product, so far so good. However, about 2 weeks after that, the new set broke as well. This is where the problem starts. They would not refund my money. Obviously, this is an inferior product so I didn’t want another set of these(which they had none in stock anyway). Instead, I asked for a store credit which I would use to apply towards a different set of headphones. They would not allow this either, stating repeatedly that«it was against store policy». That is the ONLY explanation I could get and I was spoken down to during this repeated«explanation». So, the outcome is that I gave Radio Shack my money and I have nothing but a broken pair of headphones to show for that money. This is a fairly solid indication of why Radio Shack is going out of business everywhere. If that is store policy, then the policy needs to be updated to reflect that of their more successful competitors. Some customer relations training would be beneficial as well for management. They could obtain that by watching their employees who, again, are pleasant and personable. As an active duty Marine for 18+ years at the time I’m writing this, I encourage all local Marines to avoid patronizing this Radio Shack due to the condescending nature of the regional manager and the unwillingness to make this situation right. It is obvious that our service to the country is not respected by the management at Radio Shack so do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere, you will be treated much better if you do.

Hit or miss here. I came in for some computer stuff and had to show the girl around her own store so she could sell it to me. Had I not known what i needed, she would have sent me out the door happily. She was entirely pleasant, but just inadequately trained in her own place of business. If I owned that store, I’d be a little scared of starving due to complacent staff. Good luck to you Mr. Owner, wherever you are.

Had to drop in Radio Shack today to check out a new battery for my Mio GPS. Cindy, a salesperson at the desk, was most helpful to me… even going to the trouble to look up replacement batteries on several websites on the Internet since RS did not carry the needed battery. She took the time to show me their selection of Mio’s, pointing out that one was on sale through the end of the week. Even though she assessed I was not buying within minutes of my entering the store, she was polite and helpful in spite of having several other customers approach while she was helping me. I’ll be stopping in Radio Shack for all my electronic-related needs.
