They just don’t have any good customer service — Had to call to ask a specific question that couldn’t be answer via the website and after being on hold 11 minutes they asked for me to hold longer cuz they had a long line — and would not answer if my 19 yr old could bring our 15 yr old — sheesh so hard to find folks who can multi task.

We go here all the time, the wait staff usually talk so fast you can’t understand them or mumble a lot. They constantly forget to bring your order out or say that it will be right here and then get it 30 minutes later. If people are talking and you want them not to talk you’re supposed to tell some one they tell them to be quiet or kick the out??? That’s a joke they usually just get louder instead of the bot like the claim. The bathrooms(men’s) is like walking into a shower room that’s wet with nasty piss all over the floor(I have a high tolerance for nasty bathroom being a local service plumber).

Conjuring 2, matinée. Bought and reserved seats on Fandango. Checked in with cashier and she directed us to our theater. Sat down, somewhat empty. Reserved some good seats. Showed some cool«horror» short films and related material. like movies back in the day… had personality. Waiter was cool. Food and drinks were timely, fresh, and good. I got hot wings and a root beer float. Wifey got loaded fries and a Coke. Overall fun experience for our first time. We’ll definitely do again. Shoot, maybe tonight!

OK Tried this new«cinema experience». I have to say the entry fee is comparable to other cinemas, and their endless popcorn and soda are very nice, in theory. But that is where the good stops. We waited for over 30 minutes for our refill of soda(so original fill, then 30 minutes, then finally our one free refill). Then when the check came, we paid with a $ 20 bill. The food runner assumed the $ 5.40+ change was a tip and NEVER asked or returned our change. When we brought it up with the supervisor/manager she said that unless you immediately ask for your change the runners will assume the change is always a tip. What kind of crap is that? Then she asked who our runner was, like we can identify anybody in how dark they keep that cinema. Next, lights are extremely low in the main hallway, wife dropped a pen from her purse and I had to actually pull out my mini flashlight to see it, and this was in the main hallway not inside one of the theater rooms. Finally, one set of bathrooms all the way at the main entrance, wow. OH, did anybody else catch the satanic reference in the bathroom? 6 sinks, 6 urinals, and 6 commodes… Hmmmm 6−6−6

As locals, we come here probably every other month since it opened(2013?). Anywho, long story short, we do not eat meals here anymore. Compared to other locations in Austin and San Antonio, the food is lacking. We usually get dinner before or after the movie somewhere else. The service is extremely spotty. I’ve had occasions where food never arrived, or arrived late and cold. We basically just stick to drinks and popcorn now. With all that being said, it’s still a much more pleasant experience than a regular movie theater, especially for me, someone who hates movie theaters. I love that I can split a bottle of wine and have popcorn with a girlfriend on a Friday night. Also, The fact that there’s no one directly behind me or in front of me is really nice.(*drafthouse takes out every other row of seats to allow for food service*). All in all, it’s still better than regular movie theaters, and I’m really glad there’s one in my town.

2÷16÷16 The movie(dead pool) stopped several times and the movie wouldn’t start again … Apparently, the projector broke Boo. Boo. Boo.

Worst experience I’ve had at a draft house and I’m a huge fan of them… Everything started out fine but then we waited forever for regular drinks(water and lemonade) the lemonade looked watery even in the dimlit theater and sure enough it was basically water with a tiny taste of lemon. That would have been fine but we sat there waiting to mention it to someone for 10 minutes and then they only came by with our alcoholic beverages. Topping that off when they brought food our baked pretzel came out with one of our meals. I had to ask twice for my meal. As I’ve said. I’m a fan of Alamo draft house and this experience was a huge letdown.

I really enjoy visiting Alamo Draft House theaters and have been coming to them for a very long time. I was excited that New Braunfels was getting a ADH, I mean it’s New Braunfels. Well, this location is not up to standard. The service I received last night was lacking. I arrived 50 minutes before the show hoping I could sit in my seat enjoy a drink and perhaps put my food order in. Wrong. No one was allowed in the theater until 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start time for the film. By now just about everyone who had a ticket to the show was lined up outside the doors waiting to grab their seats. I put my order in, popcorn, water and a pizza. 10 minutes in popcorn arrived. 10 minutes later water arrived. Then the pizza came out next. ½ way through the movie I request more water, a box for my pizza. Server takes the order and then does nothing with it. 30 minutes before the ending he brings me my bill. No water refill or to-go box ever came. The movie, The Big Short was not a sold out show. I didn’t go on opening night of another movie. And it seemed as though there was plenty of staff. I hope changes can be made to remedy the lack of service issue. I’ve had good service here before and I just want that to be more consistent.

I’m a huge fan of Alamo. We typically go to the ones in south Austin but came to this location because we wanted to see a specific movie the others didn’t offer. I will never go to this location again. It started with the front desk telling me my BOGO milkshake coupon was expired. This is more of a gripe on Alamo in general, not mentioning in the email that it had an expiration date. On to this theater specifically… I have never ever had such awful service at an Alamo Drafthouse. My husband’s beers took forever and they were out of Pecan Porter. We ordered fried pickles and two entrees before the movie started. We got our fried pickles but I noticed the entrees were taking a while but didn’t realize how much time had actually passed. The server brought our check and I told her we never got our food. She brought it out soon after and said she didn’t know what happened in the kitchen. I asked for more water and it took at least 2 trips for her and about 10 minutes. I had a $ 50 gift card and our food came out to $ 46. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and always tip 20% unless I feel service isn’t up to par, which in this case it wasn’t at all. I planned to tip $ 7(15%) but only had $ 4 left on the gift card so I asked for change and all she had were $ 5 bills. Instead of shorting her $ 3, I ended up tipping her more than she deserved($ 9). I hate rewarding bad service.

What is up with this place?!? It used to be bad ass. Now it smells so bad that I had to breathe through my scarf for a majority of the movie. The movie was almost over by the time I got my food and the first pizza they gave me wasn’t even the one I ordered. I started eating it not knowing and then 5 minutes later a different server brought me another pizza and took the other one away. Super weird. They really need to figure out what that horrible stench is and get rid of it. I won’t be going back to this place for a good while.

Love this place. No cell phones, no one talking in movie, nice place to watch a movie. Burgers are delicious and best fries. My mom needed assistance to her theater and be fore I got our tickets a young man was escorting her to seat. Love this place

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, it happened… a hair in my food. To clarify, the hair started out in my food but was only discovered once in my mouth. It was at this point, I pulled a long bright red hair from my mouth. I immediately went out into the hallway, food and hair in hand, and found a manager. While he was apologetic, this is the final straw for me. If you read my previous reviews, you’ll see this place started strong but has steadily declined in quality. Alamo Drafthouse’s corporate office would be wise to pay this establishment a visit. Between my experience, the general lack of organization and vile stench that welcomes you as enter the theater, this location is a black-eye to the Alamo Drafthouse name.

I don’t know why but the service at this drafthouse is a hot mess. Here is what’s cumulatively happened in my last 3 visits: 1. Long waits for food/drinks. 2. Wrong food/drinks brought to us. 3. Servers trying to coax us into accepting wrong orders. 4. Checks given to us that were wrong. 5. No one picking up empty glasses/dishes throughout the movie. 6. Waiters forgetting when we ask for little things like napkins and water. I can chalk up one bad experience to staff inexperience or someone having a bad day, but three… in a row? That tells me there’s a bigger problem, maybe training, hiring, or a management problem. I wanted to love this place so bad because it’s so close to me and because the other locations I’ve been to rock.

By far the best place to watch a movie. I appreciate their no talking policy and absolutely love their chocolate chip cookies. Their previews are sometimes a bit too loud for my taste but the movie sound is always perfect.

We love Alamo in NB! Always have great service! Love that we have space and are not sitting uncomfortably close to other patrons! Their peanut butter/chocolate shake is to die for! And the queso fries! YUM! Never disappoints! Will go again and again!

So frustrating every time we go. Bad service each time. The staff is ride at the front before you even pay. Have it one more time because we had a gift card but ended up waking out. Go to creekside, save your money and your temper.

Horrible service multiple times in a row. Never again. Had half of the food for 30 min still without something to drink. Got the other half sometime later. Pissed.

The Alamo Drafthouse is a great place to watch movies. The food is good, and who doesn’t like drinking beer while watching the latest releases? Don’t expect anything healthy here, though. Upscale, high-priced movie food. In the dark, the waitress accidentally gave us fried pickles when we ordered mozzarella sticks, but because the movie had already started and us fatties aren’t picky, we ate them anyway. Due to prices, we’ll eat before we come and just order drinks next time. It’s an easy $ 100 for two people including the movie tickets.

Been a huge fan of ADH for years. This location keeps disappointing. Each visit it’s something disappointing. Yesterday, ordered drinks and apps when we sat down 20 minutes later all but one beer came out, the apps came, ALL the popcorn was eaten still NO beer. 40 minutes later we got the beer, my fav 512 Pecan Porter, it’s was not tasty not sure why it I had to send it back didn’t bother reordering since the movie was an hour in. The food/service has changed and not for the better. Yet when you walk to the bathroom crowds of employees are gathered in the hallway chatting it up. But be damn if you can get a beer before your flick starts. I’ll have a beer before I go to Creekside before I come back here.
