I am by no means an expert on the Comal River. This was our second trip down the river. I was given one of those group coupons for 50% tube rental. The pricing for the tube rental was the same as the other rental place. But, what floored me was the $ 12 they charged for two (2) five minute rides to and from the river, carry our own tube from the store to the shuttle pickup drop off point and back. To top it off, the lady was expecting a tip, too!
The tubes we were given had a nice head rest, but we were told that we needed to inflate it ourselves. At the river, we found out that our headrest were cut and would not /​could not hold any air!
Don’t always trust the discount coupon for a good deal. Unless you know.
