I don’t trust many people with cutting or texturizing my hair but I took a chance at Felger and Friend’s. Robyn did a great job with my type of hair(coarse and thick) and she’s so sweet. Thank you Robyn!

I have been a client of Tammy Council Lawrence since 1989. She does an amazing job with cut and color for my husband and I although he has been her client since she graduated from Cosmo school a few years earlier. She has always treated us like VIPs! Felger & Friends is located in a cute little cottage just off Walnut which was formally a family house. The stylists stations are antique vanities. Tammy always make sure our blonde locks are a natural color and our hair stays healthy with recommendations for new products. They use mostly Redken. Tammy knows how emotionally attached I am to my hair so she is careful not to take too much off the ends or I will cry. lol. I have had a couple of traumatic experience in the past before I found Tammy so to have her in my life is such a blessing. And since she has been in the business for many years, you must book your appointments way in advance which we always do while we pay our bill to get our preferred time and date. Both my husband an I grew up in the area but we live in San Antonio now and feel it is worth taking the 30m drive… so as long as she will let us come back, we’ll be seeing her every 8 weeks for our date night!!!

I came here with an entire wedding party for 7 updos and 3 airbrush makeups. My hair dresser was wonderful. At first I didn’t like my hair, as it was a bit too tight on the sides for my face shape. I mentioned that I would like a rounder tease and she was eager to redo the top area and I left feeling very happy with my services and my hair. It looked amazing. Once she saw the changes she made to my hair she agreed this was a more flattering look for me. She was a sweetheart. My other family friend had another gal doing her updo and they were fast friends. She had an iPad on us so this is what we used to show what we were looking for full and teased here, messy, not too«done up». She nailed it. She was super happy with her hair and as well as her little daughters. There was, however, one staff member that was quite unpleasant. This gal did the brides hair as well as our 3 airbrush makeup jobs. The bride had noticed that she was severely lacking in personality, but she was really out of line while doing my friend’s makeup. While my friend was in the makeup chair another hair dresser was asking my friend about her daughter’s hair(the flower girl). My friend opened her eyes to answer and they discussed how the hair would be done. The makeup artist then said to my friend«Hey, you need to focus and pay attention to me. You are a looker. You and your friend always have to be looking around. I have another wedding to get to!» Shockingly my friend was able to continue sitting in this unpleasant person’s makeup chair until the job was done, but it was an awkward 15 minutes to say the least. We found it completely inappropriate to speak to a customer like that. We were by no means running late, as 7 people were out of there in less than 2 hours. Our money is just as green as the next persons, and for $ 85 a pop I think you can handle some wondering eyes, as she chose to put eyeliner on half of my eye lid anyway when I simply requested«neutral vanilla tones with a small cat eye». I understand that while applying makeup a wondering eye can be a nuisance, but the appropriate way to handle that would be to ask nicely or even use humor. I would have responded better to «Girl, you better be still or you are going to look like a hot mess!» So besides her everyone was wonderful and everyone loved their hair. We definitley had to heavily hairspray when we got home, as they had not applied enough at all. We had to have our hair looking fab for 16 hours!

This is so weird that this place got bad reviews. The staff is wonderful! Everyone is so nice and accommodating. I think people just aren’t clear about what they want. I work in a similar field and you pretty much have to talk dumb to people to understand what people want. I love Evee! She always does a great job with my hair. I never have a bad experience here. Also, I really can’t stand when people use people’s names to write bad reviews about them. I pretty sure people don’t purposely do a bad job to piss you off so don’t SLANDER them. The work they do is their lively hood so don’t make them feel bad because you had a bad experience one time. I’m sure your not perfect either. Oh, by the way the beautiful hair color you see in my profile was done by Evee! Evee you rock!

I was referred here & to a certain person. I just very disappointed with my cut & color. I even went back the next day to have my color fixed. I ended up paying $ 140.00 plus tip then going & buying product to fix it myself. Place is very charming but Tabatha needs to take over.

Evee Soto was my stylist. I paid $ 40 for a hair cut that was way below par. I’ve had WAY better haircuts at Super Shears for $ 12. I told her I wanted a lot of layers and I told her the length I wanted. I received almost no layering(if any) and the cut was not short enough. I told her it was still too long, so she cut some more, but it was still not short enough. Also, she put way too much product in my hair and I had to re-wash it the same evening because it was too heavy and looked greasy. I had it cut for a special occasion and was sorely disappointed.

I used Felger & Friends for my makeup and hair for both an engagement shoot as well as my actual wedding. The work that they did was outstanding and I would highly recommend that any one use them for… anything! Amber Council was my hair stylist and makeup artist and she was awesome to work with. She has a great personality. I went to Amber originally last October for a makeup trial that I scheduled on the same day as my engagement shoot. I know next to nothing about makeup and wear very little on a day to day basis so she had her hands full with trying to figure out exactly what I wanted. I described to her my vision for my wedding and my personal style and she just did her thing. I wore my hair down, simply curled and the curl and style lasted for hours through our shoot. My makeup was fairly simple but airbrushed and it also lasted the entire shoot and felt light and natural. The photos turned out amazing! I went back to Amber a few months later for an official hair trial and she knocked it out of the park yet again. I took just a few photos to show her and she somehow melded all of my ideas together in to an amazing up-do that just made me swoon! The only thing that outdid this was the hair she did on my actual wedding day. She generally stuck with the same concept but fancied it up a little and it was truly unbelievable. I can’t tell you how many people oohed and awed over my hair that day! My makeup for the wedding was outstanding as well. After the seeing the engagement photos I had more of an idea of what I wanted… definitely more natural but still fabulous. She toed that line very well and made me look gorgeous with flawless skin but yet still very… me. I used airbrush makeup again for the wedding and also got false eyelashes which were SO worth it. I felt more beautiful that day than any other my entire life and Amber had so much to do with that.
