BEDBUGS. Seriously what else do you need to know? Mr. Brian C. suspects«scabies», and I can’t rule that out. However I can 100% confirm that this place is infested with BEDBUGS! Do not stay here. They will hitch a ride in your luggage, lay eggs, and be in your home. Eliminating them is EXTREMELYEXPENSIVE! Do not take a chance. When you enter your new hotel /motel room for the first time… 1. Do NOT put your suitcases on the bed! Leave them in the car for a few minutes, or park them on a table or something. 2. Slide the mattress down away from the headboard. look at each layer of the bedding for blood spots. They defacate a little black spot after each meal. A large rust-colored blood stain happens where an adult fat with blood gets smushed. 3. Continue checking the box spring. Look at every crease, fold, and seam of the bed skirt. The grey flaky signs are the skin the bugs shed as they grow. Living bugs are going to be hiding out in the seams, or under the bed skirt. They hide in any crack or fold in upholstery; even the chair. 4. «This box spring and mattress have an air tight zipper cover; what?» This may be preventative, but usually means that this bed has been previously treated. The cover traps the young hatching nymphs inside where they eventually starve. Do not unzip it. If all is clean you are«Okay to Stay». Any signs described above? Get out of there. 5. «I think I found the signs he just described. But I’m not sure what to do?» GETTHEHELLOUTOFTHERE!

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Austin, TX
The Good: The location is great — close to I-35… And they allow pets for a $ 25 fee. Free breakfast… Waffles, yogurt, toast. The Bad: THENOISE. We had room #217 and it faces the freeway… I didn’t think this would be an issue as it is more Han a block back and behind a Kohl’s shopping center. The noise inside the room at night was outrageous. IFYOUMUSTSTAYHERE, ASKFORROOMINBACK! The Ugly: it was NOT worth $ 100! I would’ve paid $ 60. However, this is the price of New Braunfels.

Stayed here for 2 nights working on a tv show filming in New Braunfels. After working all night at a dirty and decrepit power generating mill I was given the key to room 205 and slept in a nicely appointed and seeming clean room. The next day as I dressed for work I noticed some random spots on my stomach and arms, I thought It was possibly some insect bites or a reaction to the grungy surroundings at the power plant, the day after before checking out I noticed more spots and the previous ones looked worse. On returning to Austin I had it checked out and found that I had scabies and likely got it from an unclean bed at the motel. I told the manager my story and she had it checked out the next day and it was confirmed, I managed to get a promise that I would be reimbursed for the ER copayment and generic drugs($ 63)I bought but not the $ 64 in lost time at work for the treatment to rid me of the mites burrowing under my skin. I suggest staying at an other motel in New Braunfels than Motel 8 or if you have no choice beware of room 205 unless you’re into a horror story.
