New to Texas, stopped by on a whim with three friends. I was completely woo’d by the service and how attentive both the manager and his staff were. We’re from the north east, and I’ve never had service like this, especially from a «fast food» chain. Everyone was happy with the pricing, portion size, and taste. I ordered the flautas with rice and beans, and it totally hit home. As someone who hasn’t been home in a year for my momma’s rice and beans, I’ll definitely be coming back to get my fix.

Pretty damn good! Good authentic Mexican food! On a road trip it’s hard to find something other than your regular burger joints and fast food places. This hit the spot! Drink selection… Big Red! Win!

Stopped here on the way out of town and ordered the fajita plate and crispy taco and it was very good and fresh. The guacamole was made fresh and so are the flour tortilla and crispy taco shell. It is restaurant quality food thru a drive thru. It is very pricey though.

The best Mexican «fast food» chain. this one also, like the ones in Laredo, San Antone are as good as it gets! This is really sort of somewhere in between a fast food and full service. I highly recommend this place and the others.

I only went here because of the positive reviews. Very disappointing. Almost 18 bucks for small nachos and taquitos. Nachos were meat, beans and cheese. And although taquitos weren’t terrible (why I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1) for the price I expected a lot more. I’d rather go to Taco Bell.

GREAT food. I totally underestimated this place. I got the crispy tacos, everything was fresh and VERY flavorful! I used to live in Laredo and I frequently visit New Mexico, so I’m no stranger to good Mexican food, and I can honestly say that this stuff is right up there with some of the best places I’ve been.

$ 14 for THREE tacos. This hurts my soul and anyone I share it with. I don’t usually pay attention to prices I just order but when I looked at my receipt later I was shocked. Damn near had a heart attack. Why would they think $ 3.99 tacos are a good thing? Clearly this place thinks they’re 5-​star when they’re subpar at best. Never ever going back. Never. $ 14!!!

Innocently ordered the fajita baked potato and was sad to be served imitation «butter spread» and weird fake cheese that melted into a glob that couldn’t hardly be cut with a knife. So much for healthy! :(

Very good food and even better service! The food is fresh. I’ve never had the Fideo Soup until we moved to Texas. TP has the best! The toppings bar is great as well, plus you have free chips and salsa bar! Worth every penny!

I love most taco palenque restayrants. Good food… but swrvice at this one was a little off. Long wait for our food, they somehow never ordered it. Had to give them our receipt. Finally got it and my flautas were burned… I sent them back and just said bring me sone enchiladas. The manager was very apologetic and refunded our money, along with giving us some cake. Not sure we will return.

This place is bomb! It’s a «fast food» place — not really. Think more along the lines of Chipotle’s fast casual concept except with authentic Mexican food. Do not be put off by the fast food look, this food is top notch and tastes like it was made by someone’s abuelita.
Definitely a place to stop by on a road trip for good food!

Three star — to be clear I did NOT eat here but I was disappointed to drive up and learn this is just a fast food place. Based on their reviews, I thought this was a nice sit down restaurant. I just wasn’t in the mood for fast food, we wanted to be waited on and not sit on plastic McDonald style booth chairs. Maybe the food is great, I’m certainly not knocking it, just know the location is not a sit down traditional restaurant.

Delicious rice and salsas. Drink jamaica. It is superb! I love the pirata taco (you can make two tacos out of one). My only complaint is that the panchos were made with nacho cheese. Gross and not authentic.

This place is awesome. Who would’ve thought they would sell fideo soup. Tacos taste like the ones I ate in Mexico. I’ll be back to eat at one of these establishments again
