Station looks a little dated but the food and service was awesome. Price of gas was best in the area and really clean bathrooms. Those jalapeño poppers are something. Freshly made tortillas made the tacos all the more yummy.

Worst Food in Texas. Undercooked, almost raw. Would rather have a cup n’ noodles. Don’t get me wrong, they have a big selection on snacks & drinks. Big gift/souvenir section too. Clean restrooms. Staff needs to go to customer service 101. Not one smiled and only said thank you under her breath. Place has potential but needs better food & a friendlier staff.

I am a member of UPromise, the reward program that gives me rewards to help my child goto college. I usually stop by this gas station on the way back to San Antonio or going to San Antonio. Gas prices are fairly descent at this store. This store is a truck stop and has pumps for big rigs. They also have a hot food deli and you can buy overpriced knick knacks. Every time I have ever gone to this store, the employees are very rude and curt with customers. It was late and I stopped to get some kolatches to eat on my way home. The girl told me they were«fresh» and«handmade». I am sorry, she much have meant handmade pulling them from the bag they came from. These were probably the worst kolatches I have ever had, not to mention they were overcooked. Fountain drinks are overpriced as are the bottled sodas. I understand this is a connivence store and you are paying for the connivence. Fountain drinks do not cost much at all. I think the last time I checked, it was like .20 cents a serving. You are just paying for the cup and some ice. The outside of this store is always trashed. I saw a pressure washer guy that was parked there but do not think they were cleaning the outside. If they do get pressure washed, it needs to be done more often. My biggest complaint with this store is that there is NO prepay. I understand it is a store policy. All I wanted was $ 10 in gas. With gas prices, what is that? 4 gallons? I understand if you run into the issue of overfilling, they can not refund you. You would think if you were buying such a low amount of gas such as $ 10 or less, they would let you pay for it. She told me I had to pay for at the pump. I explained the pump’s credit card machine was down. She wanted to take my card, hold it while I pumped my gas and could come back to pay. What is the connivence is that? It is not that difficult putting in $ 10 gas let me pay for it with my drink and call it a day. The manager who was sitting at the table stuffing her face and has a that typical cigarette smoker voice and smoker’s cough started to get snooty with me. I payed for my drink and burnt kolatches and paid $ 10 at the pump. Ironically, the Chevron right next door lets you prepay for gas, their store is MUCH cleaner and the employee’s are friendly. I always wonder why the folks going to Canyon Lake hit the Chevron instead of the Exxon. I know why now. If you want Exxon gas, go to the other Exxon store next to Walmart. If you do not care where you get gas, hit the Chevron.
