Very good falafel and hummus. Friendly folks. In an odd little strip mall just across the street from Silverwood Park. I’ll be back!

Best tabouleh ever! What a great meal, we tried all three proteins and the chicken was the winner in our house(but the steak and falafel were great too). Falafel had great flavor and was moist inside while nice and crunchy outside. Loved the tahini sauce and really good tzatziki! Will definitely be back! Bree was lovely and so helpful!

Good food and fantastic customer service. A little pricy. A nice alternative to burgers. I would recommend giving this place a try.

Dang, this place made me so food happy. Levantine cuisine is now up there with some of my favorites. I need one of these joints closer to my house! They opened about three weeks ago and after my experience dining here, I think they’re going to do just fine. The restaurant is small, maybe 8 or so tables. It’s trendy, bright, clean, with wood plank paneling. The order set up is just like Chipotle where you start your order at one end, pick up your food and pay at the other. When I came in with a coworker, one of the guys behind the counter quickly asked if we’ve been there before and walked us through the menu and how to order. He also helped up with recommendations on what to put with our sandwich and bowl. Unbelievably friendly service. I think his name was Jimmy. That guy was awesome and definitely pushed this review to a 5 star. On to the food. I tried the falafel sandwich, and a steak bowl. The sandwich was very flavorful and filling. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a warm soft center. I could taste the herbs in the falafel which I really enjoyed. I can’t remember everything I added to it, but the peppers were a standout and a needed crunch. There was a bit too much bread wrap for me, but nothing that couldn’t be easily solved by removing the excess. The steak bowl, mmm mmm mmm. I did a little wiggle after my first bite. My favorite for sure. I enjoy intense flavors and I got that here with a scoop of rice, steak, onion, peppers, hot sauce, tahini, and feta. The feta was extra, maybe $ 1.25 I think, but trust me, add that to your dish. They give you a punch card to earn a reward after a certain amount of punches. This is the only lunch place I will be visiting whenever I’m in the area.

The new bread they use is 100 times better then the one before I still wish they can make the sandwich more hot fresh or toast it longer! Amazing job on the new bread

Large wrap with decent amount of flavor. I will be sticking with Holy Land Deli and Marina’s though.

First chance to try this new restaurant. Got hooked on shawarma sandwiches and wraps at a little place on the bus line back in 70’s college days. So always looking to try these places. Greeted immediately coming in the door. Staff asked if my first time in and explained their items. Very eager to answer any questions and offer help on making selections. Tried one each of the chicken and beef/lamb wraps loaded up with fixing selections. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was they currently don’t sell enough of the meat to make the servings directly from the rotisserie. So they need to trim the roasting meat as it cooks and hold it in pans on the serving line. This allows the meat to dry out and not be quite as fresh as right off the stack. Otherwise, full range of fixings and several sauces to choose from is great and all fresh. As at least one other review mentioned, would be great if they had a couple of ‘house combos’ for fixings that you could just select as basic fixing and then just tweak if you’d like a couple other items. I will definitely be back again. Especially convenient location. Go by it often. Sounds strange, but will try it again during busy time. May be more likely to get meat right from the roast. Kudos to the owners with the level of service they have their staff providing to customers.

The staff is very friendly. Wish the steak sandwich meat was as nice and fresh and the costumer service. If you like middle eastern spicyes and hot, this is the place for you. The price is a bit high for what you get. But it’s fast and convenient.

I’ve had their falafel twice, now, and it has been delicious and fresh. I do think it’s pricey for the size of the sandwich when compared to other places of similar quality, but I know they are still working out the kinks and perfecting things. The staff is very friendly and it’s obvious they aren’t confident, so it’s slow to get through the line and pay.

GREATFOOD! Super friendly and attentive staff! We tried both the falafel and steak gyro and were very satisfied. How nice to know we don’t have to drive across town to get delicious Mediterranean food. If you’ve been hesitating, just go ahead and try this place.

I have to admit, we have drove by many times, even pulled up to the doors and changed our minds. Finally today we went in. I am pleasantly surprised. It is like chipotle except the fixings are different(of course). I am happy because it is kid friendly. They ate it all! The sauces are all good. I wish there was a few standard bowls or sandwiches as we had a hard time trying to figure out what flavors would be good together. We finally decided to just add whatever we like and not worry about how they will taste together. We will be back.

Great food, friendly staff. Menu is very straightforward and completely customizable to your taste. Very similar in style to chipotle in how you order. They offer vegan, gluten free, halal The sourcing is local as possible and meat is cruelty free.

Ate dinner here last night, great little spot. I had the chicken shawarma bowl with lots of toppings. The chicken was amazing and all of the produce was exceptionaly fresh. I’ve been on The hunt for The best shawarma in MN and so far this spot is winning by far. The falafel were as good as any I’ve had in the twin cities as well. The staff was super friendly and were quick to explain everthing they had going in food wise. Love this place and will be back soon.

This was my first time here. Falafel was GREAT! The décor is clean and fresh looking. The people behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty! I got the falafel sandwich with pickles(yummy) arugula and cucumbers. I got the spicy tahini sauce on the side… it had the perfect amount of heat. I will definitely be going back. I ate my wrap so fast I didn’t have a chance to take a pic.

The foods great and different than the normal sandwich or burger place. Lots of different options and they’ll let you try a sample of stuff to see if you like it. Recommend it to anyone who’s tired of the same old fast food places. I’ll be going here once or twice a week on my way home from work. Also the staff seems happy to be there which is always nice to see.

We stopped in here during their«soft opening.» When we ordered, we were the only customers in the store and had the full attention of a very friendly and delightful employee, along with someone who I assume is an owner or manager. This wasn’t our first shawarma experience, but they were happy to offer suggestions and recommendations based on our preferences. We ordered chicken shawarma and steak shawarma in pitas. We ordered them in the traditional style with a couple customizations. The chicken came with cucumber, tomato, Arabic pickles, and garlic sauce. We added tahini sauce to it and extra pickles. The extra pickles are key– SOGOOD!!! The steak shawarma comes with sumac red onions, olives, and tahini sauce. Again, we added LOTS of Arabic pickles. And they didn’t go lightly, which made us happy!!! The meat is pre-shaved off the spit and put in heated holding containers. It’d be better if it was shaved off at the time of each order. I think that is part of the appeal of getting shawarma. And the press could be a little warmer(or maybe just press the pitas a little longer). Our shawarma wasn’t piping hot when we got it, but that might have been because it took a little longer to get everything out and put together. To be fair, the store did have signs out saying that staff was still in training. We also ordered a small side of the falafel. It comes with a heaping portion of hummus– enough to for a double order of falafel. We enjoyed the flavor of the falafel and the texture of the hummus. The hummus as very smooth. The falafel was already heated up– it’s be nice if it was made to order. But, we ended up ordering another small side of falafel to use up the extra hummus and did enjoy it. We got a small side of tahini and tzatziki sauce to dunk the falafel in too– the tzatziki was really tasty! Overall, I think this place could be really good. Lots of friendly employees and the food is tasty. I will definitely come back after they have been open for a bit to see how things are.

We have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Tahini in restaurant-starved New Brighton and couldn’t be more happy that it has exceeded our expectations! The fast-casual* style(think: Chipotle) is genius and really works with falafel and shawarma**. Between two adults and two kids, we ordered a variety of things, hoping to try a bit of each other’s food, but that didn’t happen because nobody would share. I totally jived with my falafel sandwich, topped with a cool tzatziki sauce, cucumbers, and tomatoes, rolled and quick pressed in a hot panini-style grill, but my daughter’s chicken shawarma bowl with seasoned rice was pretty amazing, too(I pulled the old«what’s that!» trick and snagged some when she wasn’t looking). The dear husband and son inhaled their food before I had a chance to see what they were eating. I can’t wait to check out some of their salad offerings next time.. . or maybe a chicken shawarma bowl.. . *Choose a sandwich or a bowl, add falafel, chicken shawarma or beef shawarma and then all the fixings. **The vertical rotisserie grill(technically a ‘spit’ but I try to avoid that word in my Unilocal reviews)
