I tried the nachos after reading reviews. As a vegetarian, this place may not be for you – fish every where and I wondered if the oil was recycled. Aesthetically this place could use major improvements. The exposed fish made me question the overall hygiene of business.

FINALLY! My craves have finally been satisfied. I have been raving and ranting about how I wished there was an authentic Mexican restaurant that served sopes, tacos de lengua & tamales in the Middlesex County central NJ area, and this place is it! I would always pass by this area while driving or walking around believing it was just some regular fish market until I saw the other previous reviews on Unilocal. The mere fact that there was already a picture of huevos rancheros thanks to Joseph L.‘s review, I just knew they had to have the other things I’ve been longing for. The staff are so friendly and were surprised that a little Filipina like me could speak pretty good spanish and they were more surprised at what I ordered. The location of where this place may not be up to par, but literally the food and staff itself just knocks it out the ball park! THANKGOODNESS I FOUNDTHISPLACE!

Man, I was attracted to coming here because of the name, but then the five star reviews and the nachos sounded pretty promising. Me and my boyfriend went for our sorta anniversary date and we were not disappointed. Okay, the place was in a sorta sketchier looking place compared to the usual George Street and Easton but it was fine. It was a quaint place with a good amount of people eating there, rightfully so. We ordered the nachos with steak and everything and they were the best nachos I’ve ever had in my life honestly. I had Taco Bell the day before and they have nothing on Fish World dude. The people were nice too. So yeah, don’t be discouraged by the location, they’re so good and only seven bucks. Totally coming again.

They’re nachos are 7 bucks and awesome, so fresh and tasty, it is sometimes tough to order cause they mainly speak Spanish and I don’t but I will go through the trouble every time for those nachos.

Agree with the previous reviewers — this place is top notch. Great homemade tortillas, sopes, etc. Pressed fresh to order — it doesn’t get any better than that. Great homemade salsas too. Had the beef tacos and the pork sopes so far, and very much looking forward to my next visit.

this is definitely one of brunswick’s best kept secrets! its in the middle of what we rutgers students call«little mexico» so it’s not really by the campus or the surrounding area. I’ll admit the place looks very sketchy and I only went because my friend kept raving on an on about their delicious nachos. he was right! the nachos were amazing. you can order 1 to feed 2. i got the nachos with chicken, and they also put rice, black beans, fresh sliced avocados, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and im probably forgetting something else. They fry the chips in front of you so you know its fresh. i give it 4 stars because the salsa they gave on the side was disgusting. but that wont stop me from coming here. give this place a shot! it was only 7 bucks for a huge container of nachos!

OMG yum! I feel like this place is one of New Brunswicks best kept secrets. If you’re in the mood for wicked good Huevos Rancheros with tortillas pressed right there in front of you at 6:45am this place is your spot. Their sopes and huaraches are ridiculously good as well. Also I sometimes just grab a couple tamales and a coffee if I’m in a rush. Ambiance… Well let’s just say it feels authentic. Not exactly a sit down spot. Haha you’ll see what mean. I am definitely one satisfied gringo :)
