I feel in love all over again! Me and my husband took a last minute trip to New Jersey. two weekends ago and we stayed at the Hyatt. Seriously getting here from Boston was so easy. Bus ride from south station. Drop off at Port Authority. beautiful walk in the city to Penn station. a quick ride on the new jersey transit train to New Brunswick and you are literally right outside your hotel. Its like a right and a left. a quick 5 min walk. The area is beautiful. Kind of like a college town but not too much. Nice adult atmosphere. It was June 12 and the weather was 80 and above. Very nice part of town. Rutgers University is right across from the train station. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Comedy shows. Bars. museums. DELTAS(YUM). Seriously we had no car and we went everywhere!(UBER&LIFT is allowed in NJ… not new York city) The hotel itself is definitely going through renovations/upgrades… not that there was construction or anything. You can just tell by how different the lobby, bar, etc., compared to some other areas. Beautifully done! Why I give this place 5 stars is their staff! Very helpful, beyond friendly. For example one night me and my husband was at the local 7eleven. I forgot something’s at home and went to purchase them. I didn’t recognize one of the staff members outside of her uniform and she told me not to but any of it… the front desk would provide me with it all :) You can tell they must be doing a great job with there functions because the nights we were there. the had an Indian wedding… a bar mitzvah and the week before they had prom. I didn’t even hear a sound until we went to the lobby to head out for the night. We had a nice room, very clean and a balcony. The maids you can tell took there time cleaning because they stayed in the lobby for quite some time. They allowed us to grab extra towels and products when coming back from the pool too. The pool and gym are vey nice clean. I love treadmills where you can walk around San Francisco(idk what there called. sorry but they have them) I also like they had a mini fridge with wet cold washcloths for after and cold refreshing lemon water. The pool was not to cold or to warm perfect temp. and the hot tub was hot and bubbly! I could go on and on about our stay here. I will leave you with this. The hotel is clean and has a wonderful and friendly staff. There are some spots in the hotel that could use updating but the main areas are complete. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options and was about 40 bucks for me and my husband! Trust me it was good! Cant wait to go back in August! We went for a baby shower. so its only right to see the baby… or the Hyatt lol PS. This is my first review. I loved this place a little too much! Also excuse the errors I’m typing from work lol

Great hotel for location and service was nice. Rooms were good, clean and better than the last 3 Hyatts I have stayed in. The showers need a good cleaning on the caulking. The parking was ridiculous, with broken exit making me later for my meeting. The wine pours at the bar very very light and lacking quick easy access to a microwave. The lobby and communal areas were nice. The pool and workout area, basic hotel quality. No extras, like coffee and fresh water available in the lobby. Come here for the LOCATION, its the best in town.

The hotel is beautiful, easy walk to the train station, staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean … Ordered room service one night and it exceeded our expectations. But … The hotel site clearly states«there is direct hotel access on each level.» So we park on our floor(2nd) and walk into hotel. To find an elevator bank and stair access. No door into the hotel. So we take the elevator back down to the lobby, walk to the main set of elevators and go back to our floor. So while the statement on their site is technically true, it’s quite misleading. We didn’t need our car again until we left so I didn’t think about it again until the night before we left. I checked at front desk about if there was direct access to the garage on 2nd floor. She said no but there was on all the other floors. So the next morning we go up to the 3rd floor. Look for access and don’t find anything. Ask housekeeping how to get to the garage and she says«go to the lobby, that’s the only way.» So now we’ve got three different answers. Website says access from every floor, front desk says access from all floors but 2nd and housekeeping says access only from the lobby. I appreciate having the garage nearby, it made parking a breeze but the misinformation and confusion was a huge hassle. Only other issue was when trying to call the hotel to inquire about shuttle bus service, as we were going to be arriving back at train station quite late, no one ever answered. Tried three times and finally gave up.

Uninspiring, and drab rooms. Bellhop service was slow, and no safes in the room. Dare I try the breakfast?

Although our room was absolutely average and unimpressive, the rest of the hotel was great! The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and even featured a make-your-own omlet bar. The pool looked like it was kept up nicely, and the gym was fully loaded and would have any lifter happy with a weekend stay here!

Excellent location! Great staff! There is a lady at at the check in desk with short gray hair who is very warm and friendly! On the whole all the staff is wonderful! The food is delicious! I would come back and recommend this Hyatt to family and friends.

This is the second time that the Hyatt brand has let me down and failed to meet my expectations. The first time was when I had the displeasure of staying at the Hyatt in Miami. The bathroom door was obstructed by the light fixture in the entry way. This was not only an eyesore but a logistical nightmare. I expect less amateur engineering in a hotel bathroom… especially if it is a Hyatt. The gym was predictably sparse. I opted to just go swimming. A big part of booking here was to enjoy the pool. It was absolutely filthy. You could see the brown layer of scum over the water and on the sidewalls of the pool. There’s only one restaurant in this hotel, but it wasn’t bad. The room service was a redeeming quality. I was ordering smoothies hourly. New Brunswick city center has a great deal to offer in the way of eating out, so no worries there.

I frequent this hotel and am a reward member. However for the first time I used Hotwire and I was most certainly treated a bit different than when I book through my platinum membership. They didn’t even ask me if I was a member and I forgot to mention it. They should be asking this because even though I can’t get points for the room since I booked through hotwire I am still entitled to food and beverage points. I wound up loosing redeeming points for room service and at the restaurant. The hotel I do enjoy and the service is great at the bar. The rooms are comfy. There is a new food menu. I don’t like it as much. The food is a bit awkward and the menu isn’t inviting anymore. I understand creativity but come on. The new quesadillas were not an improvement. Bring the crabcake sandwich back please. That was my go to for lunch.

I have been staying here for the past 2 months. The hotel itself is an older hotel, but it’s nice. It has a pretty good hotel gym and indoor pool and jacuzzi. I am giving this hotel 5 stars due to the staff! The entire staff has been amazing and very friendly and very accommodating. They are like family! I enjoy seeing them and talking to them.

Not a very good place to stay. They are not very good to their diamond members, Internet is horrible. Font desk is very rude.

This is my third time staying at this hotel, it’s so beautiful here. the service is amazing. The hot tub was a perfect temperature in the swimming pool was also warm. I enjoyed this day very much it’s just a shame that I have to leave early tomorrow. Every hotel should provide the same service and comfort as this hotel. Keep up the good work and thank you guys

Well Racing in E-Town puts us at this hotel every year and I have no choice due to demographics of New Jersey. Well it rained last night and they must have a satellite dish cause we lost the TV signal also the energy saving Air conditioning system works off of movement in the room so it gets hot at night unless you get up and move around the it will turn on…20.00 for breakfast buffet total rip off… well there you have it a nice crappy hotel oh yea bed was ok and it was clean but I was sweating my ass off too much to enjoy it…

I recently stayed here and had a very wonderful experience. The entire staff was friendly, polite and courteous. Check was quick and easy. The inside and outside of the hotel was very clean. The food(breakfast and dinner) were also delicious. I had one slight problem and the staff came right away to assist me. The other patrons were also friendly. There is also the convenience of a laundry on site. I love the gym and the indoor pool. There is a comedy club near by, also restaurants and stores if you need to do any shopping. The train station is 5 mins away and is easy to get to. There is also parking on site. I would definitely stay here again.

Checked in here for a weekend dance convention with the girls. Not only did we stay here but the convention was held downstairs in the ballrooms which made it very convenient. The hotel rooms were a nice size, beds were very comfy… Upon check in they already had the fridge in the room as requested upon reserving the room. FYI — rooms are not equipped with fridges so you have to request them for a $ 25 charge. Oh and parking is $ 8/night. I did sleep well here the beds are comfy, the shower has nice pressure… There is no noise in the hotel hallways, they have signs when you go up to the floor about quiet time from 10p-7a patrons seem to respect that which was nice. They do have a restaurant/bar downstairs which is nice and convenient and has a pool table. The ballrooms are nice too, we occupied 3 of them. 2 on the 2nd and one on the lower level. The lower level room has glass doors which is a nice touch. The layout of the split levels and such is nice, you can look down from the balcony of sitting areas to like a main area, it worked well. All in all it was a great hotel, I’d stay again. Maybe on the next visit I’ll have time to use the amenities.

Going here for an event? Management makes you pay for parking. Service is also poor and I believe many staff don’t like working here. Hungry? Have a soup and salad in their restaurant for $ 24. It’s hotel food, not gourmet. This hotel is also very under kept. Old carpets, old everything. So you spend lots of money, and they put nothing into it. Stay away of you can.

The New Brunswick Hyatt is very nice when considering the location. The staff is friendly, the rooms are well updated and the lobby is beautiful. Keep in mind you will hear a lot of outside noise from you room.

I reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick for my recent wedding, and I can’t even begin to put into words how great my experience working with the staff was. I worked with Lindsey in the sales department to set up a room block and shuttle service to and from our wedding venue. As a nervous bride-to-be, I felt so at ease working with her — she answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to ensure that my guests would have every convenience possible during our wedding weekend. Her prompt responses to my emails kept me remarkably calm and allowed me to focus my energies elsewhere in my planning. When we arrived at the hotel the day before the wedding, the front desk staff was so warm and welcoming. My then-fiancé and I were warmly congratulated and the staff made sure that we had everything we could need for our stay. Every single person we encountered that weekend gave great customer service and truly made us feel special and important. The rooms themselves, while perhaps not as upscale as some other newer/trendier hotels, were spacious and clean. We had no problems accessing the wi-fi network and getting assistance with our luggage when it was time for us to depart. I stayed in one of the suites, and I appreciated the extra space to get ready on the morning of my wedding. Being placed in one of the rooms with a balcony(two, actually) was a nice bonus. I really appreciated all the staff did to make sure all of our guests were comfortable and well taken care of for the duration of our stay. Everyone was warm, kind, and so easy to work with. Anyone who is getting married in the New Brunswick area should really look into booking their room block here — not only do you get a good rate on the rooms, but the complimentary shuttle service really sealed the deal for us. Working with such professionals was an added bonus.

Attending a few banquet events, the Hyatt’s event hall is perfect for events hosting around 500 people, but I wouldn’t recommend going any higher than that. They have plenty of outlets available for vendors and have a very clean, elegant look to the room. Their bar area is very nice as well and you’ll meet some interesting characters that are traveling in from out of town. A good selection and offers a lounge like atmosphere. If you’ve been partying in New Brunswick and just need a place to crash, this place has offered me the best experiences and has never had complaints about bed bugs, which can’t be said for some of the other hotels within New Brunswick, just a heads up.
