Thursday nights are Latin nights. Plenty of dancing(guys, if you can hold a shimmying, spinning lady, there are plenty of ‘em here wanting to be shimmied and spun), attentive bartenders, and great DJ selections on a fine sound system. I say, check it out.

Ladies are free before 11pm. They have salsa lessons from 9−10pm.

Whatever the music they start the night with, the djs endsup playing the hip hop or rap which to me is stupid because you can notice, people get off the dance floor and you just feel like going home. I made a song request or two, but the djs ignored those as well. It sucks that they dont play music that makes your feet go and dance.

My favorite place on Thursday Latin night. Tonight was Merengue night. Band was still setting up when we left. Drinks are great price and atmosphere is friendly with an older crowd. Plenty of room to dance. They also offer free salsa classes earlier in the evening.

THURSDAYSALSANIGHTSREVIEWONLY Cover charge of 10 $ to 12 $ for men only and for women after 11 only. However some nights sucks, after paying, you walk down the ramp and the place is dead. I wish i can ask my money back. But hey, chuck a couple of beers and hope the place picks up. Its a moody place for thursday night. If Rutgers is in session, lots of college kids. else the place is just for trolling. After few hopeful visits, I am tuning out of perle and officially BOYCOTTINGITUNTILTHEYMAKEITFREETOENTER.

Came here for a private event and wouldn’t recommend this bar/club to anyone visiting or in New Brunswick. Food wAs mediocre and service was slow. The blonde bar tender was VERY rude and wouldn’t acknowledge more than 2 people when we had paid a ton of money to hold a huge event here. Sound system kept cutting in and out and the music was choppy. The space looks nice until you realize everything is cramped and the two parts of the club are extremely segregated. Overall not a good atmosphere and hope they drastically improve service or stop charging the unbelievable prices they do. Don’t give them your time or money

Bad clubbing experience. The bartenders were rude and music was bad. Not recommended!

Perle(Spanish for pearl… Pronounced«per’la») is a fun and upbeat dance club that plays plenty of Salsa and merengué and bachata. There was minimal regeton but the overall music selection was great. The only thing not watered down about the drinks was the price point. They don’t serve Corona beware! But Bud light works to cure a dance thirst just as well. Ever since the Bound Brook locations got washed away, there hasn’t been too many places to go dance– thrilled this is here!

So I finally visited this place. I must say the bouncers who were there were nice. The music was good if you are into the club/techno. The DJ did play a mix of hip hop and Latin music as well so it was a nice blend. The bartenders were nice, well most of them. The one blonde bartender(don’t know her name) was the best in regards to customer service. Some of them came of bitchy though which was irritating. as far as the drinks, make sure you pregame !!! They are so watered down !!! Unless you literally get beer or shots, you are drinking shit!!! The dancefloor is small so risk bumping into people; and some of them have a tude! There is a dress code, yet seems like anyone was able to get in! Makes no sense. Lastly, the dudes are like vultures! If you planned to have a good time and dance the night away, prepare for all the creeps trying to dance with u!!! Annoying as hell!!!

Perle is my favorite nightclub! I’ve been there twice and had so much fun every time. Whenever I go there, people do not take themselves too seriously and have a good time. The sexy men just stand around and not ask us hot women to dance. I danced the night away, especially when Latin music was playing, xoxo.

Cover charge of 15 for guy, Lady free admission on Saturday night when we went to. Didn’t feel much about the music. Bartender is far away from friendliness or cuteness. In a nutshell, overpriced cover charge for a bar at New Brunswick NJ, bad bartender, okay DJ. But good decoration I must say. Also interestingly, 90% of their customers are ethnic, wondering about their promotion and how they target customers.

It is extremely small but a good place for a college mixer or something. There are nice areas to sit and the bathrooms are really big. The bar tenders were nice. When I went there, they were serving appetizers which were surprisingly good. Parking on weekend nights and even thursday nights is terrible. DTNB(down town new brunswick) is not an easy place to find parking in general so I suggest being dropped off or walking from the bus or another parking location.

I went there in 2010. thinking of making another dash since but c’mon $ 15 is lot of money. wish they had nicer dance floor to justify cover charge. btw I think I paid $ 10 for cover charge. and rt 1 is not very inviting to begin with. however they are still nicer than NYC. I am not sure what people talk about NYC(unless you live there). travel is nightmare, and I never found any decent club there… many struggle to pay for electricity.(manhata for example). btw I go clubbing every week

I definitely love Thursday nights at Perle! Salsa night is my night!!! People from different ethnicities get together to show off their moves, more of a mature, laid back environment which I appreciate. I wish their Fridays and Saturdays would have as great selection of music as their Thursdays do! I love salsa!!!

The worst, rudest bartenders I have ever come across in my life. Don’t let the hype fool you. Go somewhere else.

I recently came to Perle for a night of dancing with my girlfriends on a Saturday night. It was almost midnight and luckily my friend knew the DJ so we got in without paying cover(score!). The club is a decent size for being in New Brunswick. The main area was playing house and reggaeton music. An odd mix but I like both styles of music so I was happy. The second room is very narrow and has a bar, couches and a DJ booth. This particular room was playing mostly hip hop music. I would only recommend going to the smaller room if you are lucky enough to get a table and sit. Save the dancing for the main area. The bathrooms are small and are not very well lit. I could barely see myself in the mirror. I had a good time with my friends but I would rather go dancing elsewhere in New Brunswick.

Haiku: Very clean but not the most spacious place to be. Could be much better.

If you just want to get drunk with your girlfriends, and dance to music worst than the stuff you hear on the radio, This is the place for you :) The DJ needs to update his Mash ups. jokes a side, Here is my honest review of Perle lounge«Ultra Life Fridays». Pro: the venue is VERY nice. major con 1: Addressing contact/manager? Leanne Gassaro, this lounge in a polite term is, a joke. Both men and women were way underdressed arriving as if they just got out of bed. On the website Dress code says, «Night Club Chic Upscale Attire a Must» Only a small handful actually followed the dress code. Leanne Gassaro, your bouncers are not doing their job, they are just letting anyone in. Men walking into the club wearing sneakers, biker shorts, and timberland boots is not chic or upscale, even women aren’t exempt from this complaint. The drinks were rather high for what the lounge is currently worth. If the issues were resolved then I can see paying whatever price for a Bellini flute, etc. There aren’t too many decent clubs/lounges in NJ. Especially in central NJ area. I would of given Perle a higher rating if guest weren’t walking into the club looking horribly tacky. Basically an insult to your business! Con 2: The DJ music was sooooo loud in the main room it drowned out the other DJs music in the smaller room. I couldn’t even talk, not even centimeter from ones ear! I’ve been to lounges before and there is a reasonable noise level. The DJ music was old it wasn’t even top 40 of this year. The purpose of having a DJ is to encourage people to go on the dance floor, not leave it! Maybe I’d go here again if the manager decided to listen to the people, and not be naïve! Rating would be more respectable, too! there’s a reason you’re not getting 5 stars.

Charging cover while the rest of the place is free seems unusual but its probably the only real night club after the old V-lounge closed down(the new place is a Spanish club full on still called V-lounge based on what the Bouncer told my drunk ears)…if you have a big group, getting bottle service is the way to go out here Good: Big Dance floor as compared to other palces Bad: Cover charge Try Hotoke and V-lounge(both have $ 0 cover charge) before going here as you might find similar if not better crowd

This is New Brunswick’s only real nightclub. Usually there’s a line outside, so be prepared to wait. Their dress code is very strict; try to dress to impress. The deejays could be better, most of them don’t know how to mix. But recently, they’ve had different deejays on Friday and Saturday nights who play«good music» and not the obnoxious pretend techno stuff. I’ve celebrated my birthday here and the VIP section is nice, though quite expensive. The bartenders and servers are friendly and nice. There’s a smaller lounge/bar area which is a nice spot to get away from the main room. In the main room, there are lots of chairs/small tables and you don’t need to buy a bottle to sit in that area. It’s nicely decorated with a cool ambiance and it’s a good spot to go to if you feel like getting your dance on.
