I enjoy going to the Stress Factory. Never a bad show and often top name comedians. And, it’s always great to see the owner, Vinny Brand, he’s a riot. The venue is awesome. It is a small venue so you may end up sitting with other people at your table. However, wherever you sit, you get a good view of the act. Seeing a show on Thursday night is often better, the venue is not as crowded. There is a 2 item minimum. If we catch the later show, we’ll grab pizza next door and then have dessert there. The tickets for the acts reasonably priced, especially for the quality acts. Overall, the Stress Factory offers the best comedy has to offer and I always enjoy coming here! And, when there is an issue, it’s handled professionally, with the customer in mind.

Not too thrilled to admit it, but I was having one of those days and my poor boyfriend spent the entire 30 minute drive here listening to me rant. I left the Stress Factory feeling like a whole new person. It was so therapeutic and relaxing to sit there and REALLY laugh. Although I’m sometimes not too keen about trying new activities where I’m just sitting around like this, but I left feeling SO good. It felt as if I just left a massage or the gym after a real good workout. I laughed wholeheartedly and thoroughly enjoyed the show. From the host to the opener to the comedian himself, everyone cracked me up. This is a great place to spend a rainy night… or well any night. Perfect for date night or girls/guys night. For someone who rarely drinks, it was kind of nice to be in the bar scene — without feeling obligated to get a drink. I loved it! Notes: — Get here early! We got here 15 mins before the show and there was a line. They don’t start the show before everyone’s in, but believe me you’ll want to get good seats. Comedians interact with those sitting in their line of view so I’d definitely come much earlier next time to get closer seats. — There’s a 2 item minimum here. Come either hungry or thirsty because you must purchase something before you can leave. — Tickets sell out so purchase them early! Looking forward to coming here soon!

Where do I begin. Ok my boyfriend took me here for valentines day(I think) and he paid in advance which is recommended. But brace yourself theres no parking. We arrived on time. The food was buffet style. The food was nasty but the salad was good. They made us purchase two drinks per person smh. The drinks were watered down and they didn’t care. Also they sit quest on top of quest… its crazy. The show is in the basement smh its such a small place. The only great thing is that its in JERSEY. The actually show was sorta funny. I will not return.

The Stress Factory is my favorite comedy club ever. The owner, Vinnie Brand showcases some of the hottest comedians around! I saw Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld there and loved every minute of it! Vinnie is actually a funny comedian himself. The food and drinks are very reasonable and the wait staff is top notch! You most definitely need to check it out for yourself!

10 Stars for having Craig Robinson bring us to tears. Best comedy show to date for us. 2 hours of Craig over 4 hours of Mooney any day. Love this Guy and the«Special» song he loves to sing. As for the venue, the approach is outdoor seating and backyard games in the courtyard. Straight ahead is the entrance then down the stairs and its the club. Very very tight in there. The space is not small but they cram tables in there like nothing I’ve seen before. Table for 4 is the size of your Grandma’s old phone table and a table for 6 – 8 is the size of a table for 4. Barely any room for the wait staff to maneuver without crashing into a patrons Knee! Service was prompt and pretty thorough. The order: 2 StrawDaqs — 1 virg 1 loose Verdict — average frozen daq Cheese Nacho & Chicken Nacho Verdict — Could probably make yourself a better nacho at 7 – 11. Hot cheese sauce on chips that sog up once sauce hits. No beans or fresh greens. Just topped with canned jalapeño and tomato dice. Portion was great though. The People vs. Chicken Fingers Verdict — Chicken Fingers guilty for being just us foods frozen bagged boxed chicken fingers. Side Salad aka The Star Verdict — Perfect! They give you the option to customize the side salad which I thought was interesting. Maybe this opt was intended for all the salads but I did not read it as such. In any event the standard salad includes Field and Romain, tomato, and black olives. I added Spicy Pecans and Cheese shred for a buck or 2 more, went with the balsamic vinaigrette and it was very tasty. The pecans gave it a sweet element, a spice element, and added a layer of texture. That crunch we love. They should make this version the New House Salad and name it after… I will def be back but will likely scope out the seating a little better or buy up. Also eat before or after. Plenty of food options in the area. This is a great place though.

I enjoy going to the Stress Factory. They always have great comedians that come through. I had the pleasure of seeing Dave Coulier last night and he was hilarious! The owner Vinny Brand is also very funny. The venue is awesome. It is a small venue so you may end up sitting with other people at your table. However, wherever you sit, you get a good view of the act. The Stress Factory is in New Brunswick which does not have the best on-street parking. You will probably have to park in the parking garage but thankfully, there is a parking garage right next to the Stress Factory. There is a 2 item minumum here which is not too bad. The tickets for the acts are usually quite cheap. However, I don’t find the sandwiches/wraps too be that tasty. I would stick to the appetizers like the hummus plate or the pretzel. There fancy cocktails are expensive as well. Overall, the Stress Factory brings in some really funny comedians and I always enjoy coming here!

I love the Stress Factory. I came here as an undergraduate at Rutgers and now as a grown up. It has timeless appeal. Over the years I’ve seen the likes of Amy Schumer, John Oliver and comedians that will be «big». The Stress Factory was here in New Brunswick for a long time and helped the city to become a destination. Thanks for decades of laughs.

Love, love, love the Stress Factory. I’ve been here several times now, but never got the chance to review it. Oh well, I’ll bite this time. What an awesome venue for comedy. Vinnie Brand, the owner of the club, books amazing comics, from the ones you know to obscure names, and on some nights even performs himself, and yes, he is a hoot(other nights his son has been known to do it). It makes your night so much fun, and a total blast. They used to do prank phone calls prior to the show, I don’t know if they still do. However, when I went there on my 16th birthday, my friend’s prank phone call was picked and it was a total blast to see the entire scam unfold. Just priceless. As for the value, yes, there is a two item minimum. But the food is actually pretty good and well portioned, as are the appetizers, and the drinks are fairly priced too. The servers are prompt and respectful and you really feel like you’re going to enjoy yourself there. Boy, I do. The short videos prior to the show beginning, the little vignettes, the constant clips from America’s Funniest Home Videos, and other funny clips, just add to the experience that you get when you go here. It’s just unforgettable. If you decide to ever see a show here, you won’t regret it. Just about every comedian I have seen has been hilarious(and I’ve seen two very, very well known acts), and everybody I’ve brought here has been back at least once begging for seconds. You will too after you see what it’s all about, and maybe one day you yourself will get to be part of the act, because heck, it’s all fun when you become part of the show too!(I have three times). With all that said, go here one night and enjoy yourself, and try not to bust a gut laughing too hard, because I’m certain there’s a good chance you will.

Hey… the Stress Factory is wayyy better than traveling to NYC. Would you like me to tell you Why??? I can drive in peace(somewhat) on NJ Turnpike, parking doesn’t cost an arm and ankle(sometimes I find street parking yay) tickets are affordable($ 30 bucks/under and so is the food($ 12)/ drinks $ 8 bucks. I LOVENEWJERSEY… You can have those other NYC comedy clubs and leave broke$. The Stress Factory is local, cozy, casual dress, and good olé fun. You can even book for large groups, birthday/Workplace/fundraiser events as well… Hey. I bet you didn’t know they have games outside for patrons to play while waiting for the doors to open. Love It… They always have great comedians lined up on a monthly basis so make sure you sign up on email list so you can purchase tickets right away. I always purchase my tickets online so easy and secure… I’ve never had a problem(Thank GOD) and the staff/owner are easy going, friendly, and cool. I Always return to the Stress Factory… P. S. Bring a jacket/sweater… Chilly inside.

This is a great venue for a comedy club. I was a little upset waiting outside in the cold for a show. When we arrived the last show had not let out yet even though my show was supposed to have started already. It was cold and although they have heaters outside the waiting area did not hold everyone. When we got inside the staff showed us to our tables. I ordered some food and drinks which were good. I had a cheeseburger or something and enjoyed it very much. The show I saw was Jesse-Mae or something. She was funny. The MC and opening act were engaging and fun. I thought it a little weird at the end that they gave me a ticket to get out of the place. Apparently that is how they track who paid. I just wish they would have told me that is what the ticket was for; since I almost thorough it away. The venue does not seem to have a bad seat in the house. The seats most in the back are raised from the good to give a good view. I hope to come back again.

My first time at the Stress Factory Comedy Club. $ 22 admission per person and we were 12 people, some of us had food(chicken fingers, nachos), most had drinks. Our bill was over $ 350 with the tip, not including the admission fee. I didn’t feel this place was worth all the money we spent. There is a two person item minimum per person, not a problem. The food was really awful. Don’t get me wrong the comedy part was funny. So my suggestion is if you want to go spend the money to get it, have drinks before going and maybe a couple there, skip the awful food. The place is rather Divey, overcrowded and hot. I looked around and even though it s a colledge town I really didn’t see college students, however when we were leaving the next audience was grouping outside and they seemed younger. Giving 3 stars for the comedy part not for the food and drinks as then it would be a 1. *****The mistake for us regarding money the tickets didn’t include food on our ticket as that would have made things much cheaper for everyone. $ 22 for admission and with food was $ 30, so take that into consideration when purchasing your admission. ****

2 stars for the poor service. You can’t expect much from a comedy club I guess… But when our server brought us our drinks, the receipt was actually floating on TOP of a beer. Which he then served to my bf. Then, he SNIFFED the other beer(to make sure it was the right one) and then served it to my friend. I was disgusted. Does the stress factory not provide training??? I don’t get it. Do they have food handling licenses? Lol As for the comedians, they were awesome. Jeff dye, the headline, was AMAZING. I got a GOOD ab workout from laughing so hard.

I have to agree with Viral. My last 2 experiences were not good at all. Their completely over priced, the food is unhealthy and just terrible, their alcoholic drinks are watered down, and that old lady at the door is a miserable old hag– completely impolite and just nasty.(I had an issue when I purchased online tickets– for some reason it billed my card twice and she wouldn’t credit my card because all she cares about is bringing money in for Mr. Vinny). On the other note, parking is a pain because that local garage is always packed. Then as a girl wearing heels, you have to walk a marathon to get in there since of course you found parking 3 miles down. The place is so old and is always packed — it’s just not fun anymore. Again they’ll take in as many people as they can because all they care about is money… Honestly stopped coming here.

Recently returned to the Stress Factory to see Margaret Cho. Man-this place has not changed a bit. Same beat ass tables and chairs, same opening jokes to warm up the crowd(the camera scanning the room). It is still something different and always fun to do on a Friday or Saturday night. I cannot stress enough to get their early. The food is pretty crappy and drinks are weak but if you plan to eat elsewhere remember they open the doors for the people who are eating like two hours ahead so not showing up at least an hour early will result in a crappy, cramped seat. They pack people in like sardines. Basically eat elsewhere, show up 1 hour ahead get a decent(not the best but not the worst) seat and stick to beer and wine.

Great show– as always. Love seeing top name comedians in such a small club. We got the buffet option this go around– and we will not be doing that again. Lines and portions made it next to impossible to go up more than once– which is the point of a buffet. And then– you STILL had to order the 2 item minimum. I just spent $ 24.99 on a buffet and then I still have to order more? As someone whose not a big drinker– my options were limited Go for the comedy. Don’t worry about the food

I came here to see Rodman since I’m a huge fan and I was very happy he didn’t disappoint. I had never been to this comedy club since I usually go to the ones in NYC but I have to say I liked this one. They don’t have parking but right next door there is a public parking lot or you can also park at the Hyatt down the block for $ 5. I was shocked by how big this comedy club is since most comedy clubs are usually tiny. I had paid for the dinner buffet with my tix and the food was okay sort of like cater hall food. They had pasta, baked chicken, salad, meatballs, green beans and mashed potatoes. The service here isn’t great and our waitress was either an airhead or had to many tables to serve but it took her forever to come by and wasn’t very attentive but hey I came here to laugh so I didn’t let this bother me.

Eh. This use to be the place. The comedians are what they book but my review won’t focus on that. For such an open place its a tight feel. The servers are fine, the drinks are what they are, the food is mediocre at best. I’d go for the talent that they book, but don’t expect to be in a really nice fancy place.
