Great local course. Low pay, has carts, greens are nicely kept up… the fairways are a little bare at times, but for the price you cant beat this course. We’ve been a couple of times and its never busy!

Staying at the Lake House in Michigan City, I had the urge to shoot some golf! Where do we go? Grand Beach baby! The workers were nice, the price was good… but you really get what you pay for. The first hole you tee off… um, a blind shot up a hill? Serious? I believe there are 3 blind shots… which I hate, but what are ya gonna do? The course conditions were«ok», not maintained the best but i heard this course is over 100 years old… so I went to play based on «history» vs «quality». I shot like crap, but had a fun time. The par 2 is like 50 yards away… kind of like a wasted hole. They say you can shoot 18 holes here? Um, there are 9 holes… the guy goes«you can shoot the first 9 off the white tees, and then come around and shoot the next 9 off the blue tees». That’s just dumb, that’s not 18 holes. oh well, it was a fun experience anyway!

stumbled across this course while staying in new buffalo. this is a 9 hole course that is $ 17, $ 25 with cart, par 35. the greens and bunkers are well maintained, tee boxes not so much. fairways were average and you are rewarded by keeping it straight. first cut of rough isnt bad but 2nd cut is really long. we found it quite challenging with sank bunkers protecting a majority of the greens, no water on any holes. aside from hole #2(96 yards from the whites), the holes are fun. the last 2 holes are par 3s with blind tee shots. be aware that #8 has a front right side bunker and #9 has a front left side bunker. we played on a sunday afternoon and literally were the only ones on the course. we saw a 4some tee-ing off at #8 as we started but saw no one after that until we reached the parking lot. worth playing if you are in the area.
