Amazing store! I drove out here from Poughkeepsie last week and was not disappointed at all. All the girls were super sweet and helpful!!!

I can only speak for Mallory at this location. I drive from Fairfield, past the more conveniently located Westport location because Mallory is a brow genius!

This is probably a sort of pointless review to write since I’m guessing this is something that’s true of all Benefit stores, but it bothers me so much that I want to say something. I understand that the employees are trained to sell products. I really do. However, they are so aggressive about it that it’s actually had the reverse effect and I’ve stopped going there because of it. As someone who hates having to saying no to people, this place is like my worst nightmare. They make it so that it’s very uncomfortable for you to say no, and you usually have to say it more than once for them to give up. Not only that, but on more than one occasion I’ve sensed some serious attitude from them once they finally accept that I’m not going to buy anything. I always walk out feeling uncomfortable and judged. I came for a brow wax. If I wanted anything other than a brow wax, I WOULDBUYSOMETHINGOTHERTHAN A BROWWAX.

I go to benefit every month and a half or so with my cousin to get our eye brows waxed. They have all done a pretty decent job on my eye brows, but Stephanie does mine the best! She is super friendly and very professional. I highly recommend her!

Just moved to NC from NYC and can’t be happier with frequenting Benefit regularly in only a month here. Kim is fantastic with all things waxing, highly recommend her and I’m very picky. She also does a great brow tint. Jamie is great on the makeup side, helps me cool down after an eyebrow or upper lip wax.

I have been going to this location for years. It was the first benefit in Fairfield county and is the best location of all the benefits around. I primarily go to get my eyebrows waxed which they always do a great job! Gone to many different people and they all have given me great results. No complaints. I have also gotten my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted before. However, those treatments were not for me. I have also gotten my brows threaded(at the Westport location) but that was too painful for my liking so I will not be doing it again. I also got my first full Brazilian(which was so painless I didn’t even flinch). However, it was so expensive at $ 85! They do try and sell you all of their products after a wax but I usually politely say I’m not interested and they are always very understanding! However, their boi-ing concealer works wonders!!!

I really like this brow bar and shop. I get my brows and lashes tinted and waxed here with Amber and Tina. It costs less here than at other waxing places I have gone to, and they do a beautiful job. All of the other girls are always sweet and helpful and they know a lot about their products.

This place is a disaster. I’ve been a loooong time fan of the brand, but this is by far the worst location of Benefit’s otherwise genius boutique locations. I’ve visited several times but after my most recent visit to the New Canaan location, I’ll be taking a bene-break. The location was sloppy, the makeup counter was a disaster and the shop was full of girls complaining that they couldn’t wait to go home. The makeup artist who was assigned to do my makeup had a really odd approach to doing makeup. One of the services Benefit is known for, and readily promotes is false eyelash application. I requested this service when I called, and I would have thought that the artist would have known how to apply them. Nope. She glued them onto my eyelids. And oddly enough, she kept showing me in the mirror and exclaiming how good they looked. I didn’t really have the time to have her take them off and attempt to reapply, but I told her they weren’t applied right. She just told me how she was tired and couldn’t wait to go home and drink a glass of wine. Whatever. Benefit lost a customer.

The only reason that I gave it one star is because I like Kim. She waxes there and is the only woman there that acts like a woman. The rest are somewhat attitudinal little girls. The manager Emily has no clue about customer service whatsoever. I drove a half hour for an appointment specifically made with Kim. I get there and they say she is sick. I asked why they didn’t call to cancel and that’s when the lack of contriteness and arguments began with Emily. She claimed that they are not canceling because another girl will do me. Uh, no thanks. I made that mistake once and had too thin eyebrows done my a know it all 20 year old. This argument from Emily went on and on and then she said they only take numbers to call an confirm appointments. Well I cannot remember the last time I got a call from them, but that does not matter to me, nor should it matter to Emily. Call to cancel. I am a working woman who does not have time for this nonsense. Just call me. To drag me in a salon like that is ridiculous. I mean if I make a haircut appointment they don’t drag me in to have someone else cut it. That rationale is absurd and moronic. All Emily had to do was to profusely apologize and reschedule me, bur no, She seemed somewhat righteous and entitled and that is what gives her generation a bad reputation. I hope Kim relocates as she is a nice person. In the meantime I will continue to go to Vicky at Anastasia in Beverly Hills and Aieda at Salon AKS in NYC. Both are fabulous. Btw, don’t even get me started on how those girls practically maul you in order to buy things. They all need to be retrained and Emily, well she needs to be «schooled» in customer service and common sense

I have been a devoted fan of Benefit products since the nineties, so am very happy to see their sweet little shops popping up in all of my favorite CT towns. Newcomers to the brand can’t help but be instantly hooked by the flirty décor, clean displays and wide assortment of stylishly packaged products that you want to line up on your vanity. I’ve even heard of people modeling their bathrooms to look like the stores! Most locations also do waxing/threading, eyebrow/lash tinting, spay tanning and makeup application — so it’s really a one-stop beauty escape. But be warned(and here’s where I wavered between 3 and 4 stars): Benefit employees are universally enthusiastic, sweet and bubbly. From the moment you arrive, they will make you feel like the most gorgeous and important person that ever walked through the door. While I’m sure you’re a wonderful gal, keep your flattery-lovin’ ego and your wallet in check! Decide ahead of time what you would like to spend and stick to it. Consider not buying everything they recommend(and you WILL want it all!) a good reason to go back. My husband calls my trips to Benefit«throwing money at high-school cheerleaders». I ignore him… but he kind of has a point. I do accept their praise as eagerly as they accept my hard earned cash. Personal faves: Posie Tint, They’re Real! Mascara, Nice Knickers Lipstick, Dr. Feelgood Complexion Balm and the fantastic custom spray tans.
