Always clean and well-run.The owners take pride in their business and product and it shows. They have 8 flavors of self-​serve with many different toppings. It’s all done by weight, so be wary of how much you’re putting in that big cup!

Swirl was the first frozen yogurt shop to arrive in New Canaan, and in my opinion is the best. While Swirl is not located near all of the restaurants on Elm or Forrest Street, its Cherry Street location does provide the best parking options (and is only a five minute walk from most restaurants). Swirl has an open floor plan, offers numerous indoor/​outdoor seating options, and is always immaculate.
In regards to the Froyo, I have never once been disappointed with their flavors or toppings. They typically offer 8 — 12 flavors at a time (that’s just an estimate), and they tend to change frequently, with the exception of several main staples (chocolate, vanilla, ect.) They have a wide variety of toppings, including: fresh fruit, nuts, cookies, caramel, chocolate syrup and more.
The staff at Swirl is also top notch and is always very accommodating. The owner can usually be found behind the register assuring everything is running smoothly.
Of the three froyo shops in town, Swirl is the only one that is family owned, which is yet another reason I choose to support Swirl over the others, as family owned businesses continue to become more of a rarity these days.
My only suggestion for Swirl would be to consider offering smoothies.

I love Swirl. The shop is immaculately clean, and the owner Sonny is super friendly. The rest of the staff is very good, too. Nice selection of toppings, although I do wish they had hot fudge! For everyone complaining about the price, I don’t notice it to be any more expensive than any of the other «create your own» froyo places in the area.

Finally a good place to get your frozen treats in New Canaan. Great quality, great customer service and great selection

Swirl is our family’s favorite! The shop has a very clean and friendly atmosphere. The flavors are delicious with tons of toppings to choose from. They have a lot of seating, even a smaller table for children and benches outside in warmer weather. The staff is friendly and helpful. You pay by the ounce so you can serve yourself/​children as little or as much as you want, no oversized portions. They have a points card so you earn points every time you go and end up getting cash toward your future purchases. They have sample cups to try a flavor before you fill your cup. The owner is usually there and knows many customers by name. It’s really so much better than the other frozen yogurt places that are around. Our favorite flavors are angel food cake, cake batter, and vanilla (they also offer seasonal flavors for the holidays)

Chocolate yogurt had a weird flavor to it. Wouldn’t be back to try other flavors. Sorry Swirl.

This place is clean, but not close to any restaurants and very expensive. I think I had a bad experience because I also had a flavor one of the workers recommended to me that was horrible, cheesecake, and I love cheesecake. Also, you pay per pound so be prepared to drop $ 6+ on your kids small ice cream treat.

Wow! Not only is this place so clean you could practically eat off of the floors, but they offer a fantastic variety of flavors and their toppings bar can’t be beat! Just had the cake batter flavor last night and it was absolutely fantastic. I find the owner to be very endearing and approachable and the staff could not be friendlier. Will be back… often!

Amazing service and delicious fro yo. The employees are always cleaning up at the machines and around the toppings bar! And by the way, a new pumpkin flavor fro yo for fall just came out, try it. It is heavenly!

Swirl is great! With plenty of choices for toppings and yogurts everyone can find their favorite! Highly recommended for kids and adults alike. Staff are very professional and happy to be in business.

I found the place accidentally. I found the layout a bit congested, the cup size a bit big which made me feel like I wasn’t getting a lot for my money. The toppings bar was good, they had my favorite carob chips, and traditional strawberry which is great!
