Great local restaurant. A step up from Arbys. Their drive thru could be a bit faster though. If I lived close by I would probably eat here too much!

This is one of my guilty pleasures. It’s a tiny little store, a converted Burger Chef built back in the early 1970’s. The bathrooms are outside, the décor is way out of date, and it’s in Park Layne. They serve fast food in wax paper. You have to overlook a lot. If you understand it for what it is, you’re in for a treat.
Service is superb. Quality is excellent, for fast food. They whip up fresh sandwiches and fries while you watch and wait. The owner is present often and he interacts quite a bit with the customers.
If what you want is a great roast beef sandwich, fries, and a Mt Dew, and only spend six bucks doing so, then this is an excellent choice.

Ranchers has been around for ever here, similar to The Mel-o-dee. They haven’t changed at all, except that it seems to me there is hardly ever any customers there. Their roast beef sandwiches are good but not great. It’s not a bad little fast food joint to go to, but it looks very old because they haven’t renovated it. I’m not sure they can afford to remodel anything, but it’s definitely becoming run down and I think you can tell that by the reviews… or the parking lot. However, let’s not forget, you can save money if you have a Tecumseh Arrow Card. And I stress their food isn’t bad. I fear the future may become difficult for them if they can’t get more customers though…

This restaurant has always been a great one. Went there last night and everything was bad. My salad was less than half the usual size, the tomatoes had a big rotten spot on it and my sandwiches did not have enough meat all together to make 1 good one. I called and spoke to the manager and the blame was put on the morning manager about the size of the salad. Then said things vary on size to who ever makes them. This answer was not what I was looking for. Not the place I will be going to again with my last 20 bucks to eat. Was not offered to have food remade or nothing. Call me done.

Best roast beef sandwich you’ll ever have. The owner is always nice as are the employees. They’ve never messed up my order. Highly recommended!

A great local restaurant to eat at. The staff and management are attentive and makes you feel welcomed.
I ordered there special of the week which are two hot ham & cheese deluxe combo for $ 5.56. Combo includes fry and drink. The portions were generous and served on a toasted bun. Delicious!

I’ve lived up this direction for over 6 years and never stopped in here. I was on my way home from shopping and needing a little early lunch and stopped. I ordered a junior beef to go; service was fast and I was back out the door in maybe 3 minutes. The sandwich was good; the bbq sauce not so much. I’d eat it plain next time.
