I have been coming here for about 3 – 4 years. I lived in the area for several years but the first time I tried it the soft ice cream I was impressed. But now all I get is the strawberry shortcake dasher And it never disappoints. Sometimes I can’t stopped myself from getting the large which is almost 10 $! But I can’t help it it’s so good. I want to go write now just thinking about it. The cakes though, they are expensive and small I recommend just going to shoppers to get one. The lobby isn’t clean all the time and honestly the guy looks like a creep, especially after seeing he only hires female employees O_o, but I don’t care the ice cream IS BOMB, so I will keep coming here for the forseeable future

If you haven’t had Carvel, you are missing out on the best soft serve ice cream you can find. This place is clean and has great service. A nice selection of cakes that they make right in the store. I will definitely be back.

I go to this Carvel Ice Cream location for personal and business reasons and I’ve yet to be disappointed. My family and I came here after my daughter’s graduation and we stop by whenever we are in the area and get the craving for ice cream. I’ve picked up ice cream for office parties, etc.
My kids love it here, the staff has always been courteous and pleasant to us. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Ice cream is always good and fresh. Not that «it’s been in the freezer too long taste». The staff is very upbeat and ready to serve you and that’s the way it is suppose to be at a ice cream spot.
I noticed another Unilocal reviewer received bad service… I must say that his review was done in 2011 and I have been visiting this place since 2011. I never encountered a bad experience such as his; I would say that by now they have fired whoever worked there in 2011. The staff that are there now are very nice people.
*Note* Wednesday night is «Buy One Get One Free» Classic Sundae :-)

Love this place. I grew up in NYC, so Carvel is very near and dear to me. The ice cream is the best I’ve had and the customer service is always great. My family has a tradition now to get a carvel cake for our birthdays. My favorite it the chocolate crunch in the middle of the cakes… YUMMMMMM!

First of all, the cake was horrible. The worst I have ever had out of trying 4 different carvel locations in the past two years.
Smallest cake is 20 $ minimum. Most expensive carvel out there.
I hated this place, they are right beside «Bojangles» in Lanham. This guy rushed me even though I was the only person in the entire store and I was very polite about it. I was very quiet and calm but he had such a controlling demeanor. AND he was racially oriented. My name is Trevan, pronounced Trev + Anne=Trevan. He asked me how to pronounce it and then he said «the blacks will pronounce it Trevaughn» I was offended but did not voice it. Especially since i am CLEARLY one of the «blacks» that he felt the need to refer to. He then began to ask me where I am from etc etc. FAR TOO PERSONAL Why so racially oriented? Give him NO business. You cant hate the people who are keeping your business afloat.
