Great local spot! Loved the pinball pizza and service. We also loves the spicy toppings available

This pizza is very good. Lots of flavor. I truly believe if this place added delivery in new Castle and or was open on Sunday during summer for football this place would make a killing.

If you’ve ever lived where they make good pizza, this isn’t going to cut it. If you’re from Colorado, you’ll like it. Bought a pizza here and they told me it was Chicago style… because they cut it into squares. WHAT??? This is thin, greasy and lifeless/tasteless. Beer selection is decent but the pizza is not for me.

Yum! Love their pizza crust. Savory and crisp. Wide variety of toppings. And the staff are young and pleasant.

My wife and I had an amazing pizza in the coolest place in New Castle, Colorado. Hogback Pizza was a great discovery and well worth the break from the trek along Hwy. 70. The owner, Dustin was proud of his food and friendly, efficient staff, and rightfully so. They offer some of the best thin crust(heavy on the fresh toppings) pizza I have ever had. The beverages are served at the perfect temperature and the vibe of the place reflects the owner’s style. We will be back and encourage others to experience this place.

A+. I love the divey atmophere. It is hard to be divey and family friendly, but this place nails it. The slice of pizza/pint of beer special won me over. Then I got the pie. So good. The crust is sturdy, but tender. Not sure how they accomplish that. There are herbs in the crust that are great. Big complaint — the crust is so good that my husband, who usually lets me have the crusts to chomp on, now finishes the whole thing! The hog knuckle pepperoni rolls are sort of like a crescent roll(made of the good pizza dough) around plenty of pepperoni. They are brushed with garlic oil and sprinkled with some Parm before being baked to a tender, crispy brown. Served with a nice cup of marinara sauce. Salad was simple but covered all the basics and then some. Great croutons!

My boyfriend used to live up the street from this place and it never gets old! Who can pass up good pizza and beer along with a game of pin ball?

Pizza joints are easy to find most anywhere. Good pizza joints are a little more troublesome. This place takes a spot among the BEST pizza joints! Great staff, pizzas with generous toppings and cheese, great crust, super flavor. One of my favorite spots to eat in Colorado. I’ve eaten a number of times at pizza joints that were rated as America’s Best. Hogback will knock head with ANY of them! If you LIKE pizza, this is your destination! If you DON“T like pizza, you WILL after you try theirs! Did I mention that I highly recommend them?

The Pizza is fantastic! The thin, herb crust is crisp and full of flavor and the toppings fresh. Get a slice made to order and play pin ball while waiting. Great atmosphere too!

Stopped for dinner before heading up to camp. Good pizza — got a cheese and one loaded. Cheesy garlic bread was a hit with the kiddos. Fast, friendly service. Very clean place. The kiddos(and hubby) loved the pinball machines. We’ll probably stop again when we are in the area.

We were bummed about getting rained out of camping this past weekend so promised ourselves we would spend the time checking out places we hadn’t been to around the area instead. We came over to Osage Gardens to pick up some plants and decided we were starving on the way back– saw Hogback pizza as we were driving by, quickly did a U-turn and checked it out on Unilocal…5 stars all around, and much deserved! We both did the slice deal… only $ 5.95 for a pint and a slice? Great deal. I was glad to see they had Ranger on tap and was included in the deal. I had a slice of pineapple, and the reviews were right– crunchy, cripsy goodness. The dough has herbs/spices in it, and it tastes fresher than regular dough. Plus, service was probably the friendliest I’ve witnessed at a pizza joint. Both guys came to check on us on the patio and ask how the pizza was/make small talk. Will be back to order pies!

My husband loves this pizza. Service is always friendly. Service is quick. Not a lot of room to sit and eat so consider calling ahead.

Let me break it down for you. we used to live less than 5 miles from Hogback, and now we live over 30 miles away. Its totally worth the 60 mile round trip drive for a Large Traditional Neglect or Easy Rider. Even though my hubby & I constantly cannot decide between«cut regular» or «Cut like a pie» I like the squares, he likes the slices. I win sometimes. The employees are awesome & we love the atmosphere. Its one of the first places we went to when we moved her and we have continued to make it there no matter how far we we may have moved from it.

Pizza is alright. I would recommend the calzones or the sandwiches. Always get good grub here. And I love the hog back boys. They are all so friendly. The atmosphere is very down home rebel. A unique place and my go to in new castle for your average weeknight.
