I contacted United Van Lines about a move within my county in PA. (I needed to move on a tight time frame so was contacting a lot of moving companies because many of them were booked up already.) After going through the whole phone process with United Van Lines, I was referred to this company Holman, only to hear back from them that they do not handle local moves so they could not help me.
I have no idea why, if this company can’t handle my type of move, they don’t coordinate that information somehow with United Van Lines so I could have been advised up front by United that they had no provider available to help me in my area. It would also be helpful if United could refer people to a company that could actually meet their needs.

There are many great people associated with this company, but the company’s management failed us when it came to preserving our household goods during our recent move across the country. This was our third corporate relocation and we had more items damaged during this move than any of the others, by far. And the compensation process did not go well. Whether you are looking at using them for your own move or you are an HR executive considering them to relocate your employees, I would think twice.
