This place is always busy. Why, you ask. Because they’re good. Every sandwich I’ve tried is superb. I never liked chicken Parmesan until I had theirs. Only con I can think of is the wait. But that’s to be expected when excellent food is delivered in a smaller shop. A must try for anyone nearby and has an appetite. The small sandwich is 10″. Come hungry.

Great steak shop! Customer service is definitely on fire here. I ordered the«Roast Beef Supremo”– delicious roast beef carved, with sharp provolone cheese, broccoli rabe, and gravy! I’m not a big fan of roast beef sandwiches, but this was Mmmh Mmmh good! I will definitely visit again— thank you Crystal for being in there making that roast beef sandwich, and making me drool! You definitely have me hooked!!!

The Broccoli Rabe is a must with Roast Pork ! I rarely give 5 stars, especially for a sandwich shop, but this one really deserve it! ! John’s of Philly roast pork can’t compare to this place !

They have your staples and then there’s sandwiches that you won’t see at every sandwich shop and they all look and taste great.

I used them for our Christmas party and the sandwiches were fantastic. The tray was decorated so nicely I was asked by my coworkers to bring sandwiches to work for them when I was in the area again. Our plans are to use them again next year.

We found this gem on Unilocal as we were driving through Delaware on our way home. While we are pretty starved for really good hoagies/subs/grinders in the DC area, I had no idea this sandwich shop was going to the subject of sweet meat dreams. Portions are *huge*, but you’ll push yourself anyway. You know it won’t be as good later, so buck up, unhinge your jaws, and just do it. The meat is amazingly tasty. I had the cheesesteak with mushrooms, which was divine. The meat is incredibly lean with virtually no grease. The sandwich looks like it might be dry, but it’s anything but. I can’t wait to go back.

This is one of the best sandwich shops in town. Very clean & everything is homemade. One of my favorites are their Italian chicken cutlet sandwiches. They also have great salads as well as a variety of sandwich selections. You can never go wrong stopping here. The owners have always lived in the area so many locals already know them & their great reputation. This is a busy shop so call ahead to get your order, although they do have seating available as well.

Went with a group of four friends, all had delicious cheesesteaks! We split an order of French fries, nice and crunchy texture and hot, made fresh. The cheesesteaks were on fresh sub rolls and the meat was tender and perfect, not greasy. I got the supreme with mushrooms, grilled onions, broccoli rabe, and American cheese, perfect! Some bugs of hot hot peppers for self-service. I tried one red and one green — both burning hot and good, was nice the drink machine had water so I could fight down the peppers…

Best Philly cheesesteak I have ever had! Even better than Gino’s from philly downtown. The ladies were nice and food was great! The wasabi sauce tasted really good and you will get addictive to it!

So happy I found this place on my drive from Connecticut to Ocean City, MD. The first time I got the roast pork supremo with long hots. It was SO good. I sat there by myself eating it wishing I had someone there with me to enjoy it with. I think this beats out DiNics because it was juicier. On my way back to CT5 days later I stopped again at Ioannoni’s, this time with my two buddies. I ordered the roast pork supremo again but she misheard and gave me the roast beef supremo. The mistake turned out well, it was just as good! There were a hundred other things on the menu I wanted to try including the chicken cutlet sandwiches. My buddy got the gravy fries so I also had a couple of those and they were great too. Wish I lived closer than 250 miles away. :(

I was scrolling through Unilocal looking for anything decent, and this place caught my eyes with it’s high rating of five stars! It’s so rare to see any place with a full five stars. So I told my dad to head over and it was the best decision we made the whole road trip. The vibes in there are really homey, and it’s definitely a ‘hidden jewel’. All of the workers were so sweet and friendly, helping us settle our order. We finally decided to order a Philly Cheesesteak, Roast Pork Sandwich with Gravy, and Fries with Gravy. Our minds were all blown. My mom, who’s not a sandwich person at all, could not put down her half of the Cheesesteak. The bread is so soft and and the meat, gravy, and sauces just complimented each other so well. The cole slaw is also really special, and has a more sweet flavor that’s just so pleasing to the mouth. This meal was incredible, and very decently priced! I wish they’d open one in Los Angeles!

Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner! OK it may not have been chicken but you get the idea. Being a Philly transplant now living in Jersey I must admit I’ve had some of the best the last 50 plus years and their«pork supremo» was supreme. Gravy fries a must, with chunks of beef mixed in the gravy the fries eat like a meal. Delawareans you’re lucky to have them. I didn’t kiss the chef but I did give’em a high 5… stop in you won’t regret it!

Even though this sub shop isn’t far from home, I haven’t been able to make it there because they close at 7pm. So on the one evening when I was actually early getting back to my town, I jumped at the opportunity to give them a try. I have to say the pork supremo sandwich I tried was as good as other reviewers have claimed. It was flavorful, not dry. Even the veggies and toppings in the sandwich were good, although I wished there was more. No complaints from me about the service either, although strangely, the folks behind the counter sounded like they were from Queens or Long Island. Yes, forget Subway, forget Blimpie. This sub shop is the real deal.

I travel with my job so I like to try different places that are unique mom and pop type establishments. In these parts you will encounter a wide variety of dominant personalities, but don’t let that that scare you because they are good people and delicious food. I had a hot roast beef topped with provolone cheese and this spinach garlic spread. With all that yummieness in my hand, and had seating area to enjoy the 80 degree weather PRICELESS!

My co-worker challenged me to try the roast pork sandwich here and even offered to pay for the sandwich(a hair under $ 9) if I didn’t think it was better than D’Nics or John’s Roast Pork in Philadelphia. So on Superbowl Sunday, my wife and I stopped by this sub shop and tried the Roast Pork Supremo and the Philly Cheesesteak. Now whether you’re in Philly or New Castle, DE, the key to a good roast pork sandwich is a good recipe, the highest quality ingredients, and good bread. Ioanonni’s has all of them, but I would put it a notch below Philly’s top sandwiches. The cheesesteak was a couple of notches below John’s Roast Pork’s cheesesteak. JRP is meatier, better quality steak, and the roll makes the sandwich. Since my first trip there, I’ve been there a few other times and tried the Roast Beef and the Paisano. So, despite my love affair with Philly sandwich shops, I’m convinced that Ioannoni’s is the best in the local area and comes close to the best in Philly.

I need to seriously review my thoughts prior to eating here about where to get the best roast pork sandwich. The Pork Supremo was excellent. Excellent. Served with sharp provolone, broccoli rabe(long hots added). I am salivating as I write this review over a week later. I often complain about balance in a sandwich; I like to be able to taste everything that goes into the sandwich equally. There was a perfect balance of roast pork, peppers, cheese, and rabe. The juice soaked through the roll just enough without the sandwich falling apart. Good bread too, crusty yet soft. I also tried the Beef –N– Stuff. This is a roast beef sandwich with au’ jus and stuffing, very tasty. I am pretty picky about stuffing and I am happy to report this is well seasoned, flavorful stuffing. This is a heavier sandwich and glad that I was splitting the sandwich with two other people. While both sandwiches that I tried were good, I think I’d have a hard time ordering anything other than the Pork Supremo in future visits. This might be my favorite roast pork sandwich ever, I feel compelled to confirm this thought by doing a pilgrimage through roast pork joints in Philly.

I know everyone reviewing this place has a lot to say about the roast pork, provolone, and broccoli rabe sandwich. With good reason, it is delicious. But I want to devote my time here to something else. BEEF&STUFF. I walked into the shop and saw a giant hunk of roast beef on a butcher block right on the counter and knew I had to try it, but in what sandwich? A supremo like the hallowed pork sandwich. But right there, last on the list of Roast Beef sandwiches was Beef & Stuff. The roast beef is shredded and falls apart on its own, crusty dark bits mixed throughout with an amazing gravy that is too good to have ever seen the inside of a can saddled up next to a dark homemade? stuffing that is complex and smooth on a big crusty roll. I’m not sure I can ever order a different thing there now. I heard they have great cutlets too, but how can I do that when I see that masterfully cooked beef on the counter every time I enter this place? HOW??? If this is a family owned place I hope they have a cousin who wants to start a satellite store in Phoenixville, PA. I’ll keep them in business.
