Qué?! I walked in here looking for a quick snack after a 22 mile hike to the summit of Snowmass, and was greeted by a menu entirely en español. You know you’re in for a good time when the first word on the menu is «Desayuno» and the word«breakfast» is nowhere to be seen! Ignoring the sugar-soaked Mexican treats directly beside the entrance, I eyed some deliciousness behind the glass counter, but was too shy to ask«qué es esto?»(even though 5 minutos later, some other guy totally did). Instead, after a discussion with the incredible friendly lady behind said counter, I got a pollo burrito. The fresh-to-order plate of burrito, rice, guac, lettuce, and salsa soothed my belly rumbles and put a big fat sonrisa on my weary face. As they say: barriga llena, corazón contento. If you’re ever in the area and in need of something filling, pop into this surprising hole-in-the-wall«deli» for some unexpectedly tasty Mexican fare. There’s plenty of seating available(unanticipated, given its ratty exterior), but with slightly questionable bathrooms(quite expected, given its ratty exterior).
