I made an appointment at Bruno 1 Salon, not knowing who would be doing my hair or what the salon even looked like on the inside. I relocated from Southern California 4 years ago and desperately needed to find a new hairstylist!
I must say, the décor and atmosphere were very pleasant. What impressed me most was the stylist they booked my appointment with. Helene Pagan had to put up with me because I decided to go from hair that was past my elbows to EXTREMELY short. I was solo nervous! I was over the «long hair» thing and wanted something new. Honestly, what I love about Helene is her ability to listen AND please! I couldn’t have been happier with the results she gave me and continues to deliver. Helene is the first stylist I have EVER trusted, the first stylist I feel confident seeing time after time. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

I go to Bruno I for manicures and pedicures. They are the best I have ever had. I see Jael and she is truly something special. The entire staff always makes me feel welcome.

Helene cuts, colors phenomenally and pays attention to what your needs are. She also cuts my daughters hair and to satisfy a 19 and 23 year old and their mom is pretty awesome. I would recommend Helene for any hair type, length, cut, style. And the bonus you will be happy, filled with joy and happy customer thanks to her positive energy and joy vibe!
Bruno, owner is terrific and the entire staff from front desk to shampoo is great. They are also generous to non profits such as Jawonio as well.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and I was recommended to this salon… I must say the staff were very professional and you can tell they were happy to be there! A breath of fresh air. I had my ombré color and haircut done with Helene and my makeup done by Dominique. they were so pleasant and knowledgeable. I absolutely LOVE my hair! My makeup came out just as amazing. The salon is large and Beautiful, btw, the assistant gave me the Best shampoo I’ve ever had! Upstairs they have nails, waxing and facials. I will be coming back and recommending all of my friends to go!

I was recommended by a friend. I heard this salon has been there for over 30 years, so I thought I’d give them a try. SO glad I did! The staff was so attentive and the space was gorgeous. I was surprised to see that the salon catered to men and women well over 50, but also maintained a trendiness to make a 24 year old like me to feel comfortable. LOVE my highlights and haircut so much! I recommend Susan for color and Helene for a cut. I’ve been a regular there for a year now. Definitely the best in Rockland.

I am a 50 year old woman who lived in many different cities and I have never felt like I was treated so well than at Bruno’s in New City! The owners Bruno and Lucie are so wonderful and talented. Your hair will look as good as if you spend 3x more in a NYC salon!

This salon is amazing. After paying for over priced and mediocre haircuts in the city, I decided to go to one of the best salons near my Mom’s house, as the cost is even less and it would be a very reputable salon.
I went to Joleen at Bruno’s. My hair is dark and I wanted subtle highlights that werent too light, which is how they usually turn out. On my first visit, Joleen and Bruno both worked on my hair and my highlights have never looked better. They are perfect. Joleen also cut my hair– she knows what looks good and is trendy, while sticking to your personal style. She is super friendly and remembers you every time you visit.
If you have super dark hair and have a hard time finding someone to do your highlights just right, go to Joleen. I have searched DC and NYC, and she is still the best.
