A Roland Salon Studio

My 16 year old daughter went in today for a special do for prom tonight. Twenty minutes later she had her hair pulled back in a simple bun for an absurd cost of $ 55. She hated it came home crying. My wife could’ve put in a bun for nothing. Very bad.

Long story short, A Roland is best service I’ve ever had!

Highly recommended. They treated me like family. Gave me a tour of the entire salon and then a glass of Chardonnay. They put on the tv for my bf and handed him the remote while he waited and refilled his coffee twice. Unbelievable service. Don’t even get me started on X, my hairstylist, he was unbelievable. I was nervous taking off 18 inches but he made it as painless as possible. I highly recommend him. Very sweet and personable with a talent for hairstyling that is the best I have seen so far. I used to go all the way to Toronto from PA to get my hair cut, but I think I found my new hair salon and I couldn’t be happier.

I have been going to Aveda salons for over ten years in various states. A Roland is one of the nicest salons I have been to in a long time and there is a reason I choose to come to A Roland when I am in PA. They are always able to accommodate my schedule and get me in, even on short notice, I enjoy my peaceful time spent there, and feel relaxed and pampered when I leave. My hair always comes out exactly as I ask, the color and highlights beautiful and the cut precise. The staff are friendly and make the whole place feel welcoming. It is clean, upscale, and peaceful. I have recommended many friends to A Roland and will continue to! It is always worth the travel time for me.

I’ve been coming to see Ali at A. Roland for over a year now. When I first came to see her, my hair was a colored-​mess. She spent several hours fixing my hair and it looked gorgeous! She isn’t afraid to try new styles and always has great advice on what would look nice. She is an amazing stylist and hard worker. Everyone at the salon is so friendly and the salon is beautiful!

This is an AWESOME salon. I have had an absolutely incredible experience with my stylist, Maddy! She is the BEST! The AVEDA product line is amazing for hair, bath, makeup and skin care. The professionals here can walk you through the correct products to purchase and will take the time to do so. Very, very, very impressed with how «real» the team is here. Always friendly across the board and never pretentious. Everyone makes you feel at home — they are great at collaborating on ideas and they always show support by complimenting each other’s work. Amazing team atmosphere! Really a classy place. If you have not been here yet I would call immediately to make an appointment (ha ha just don’t take my time slot w/​Maddy).

This place was great! I needed to get my hair colored and when I sat down they offered me water, tea, beer or wine! Then before she started my hair she gave me a massage, how awesome? The salon is very well decorated and all the workers were attentive and kind. Would definitely go back!

I have been coming to this salon for about a year and I love it. I have been going to Aveda concept salons for the past ten years and must say, this is the best one I have ever been to in the PA-​NY-​NJ area.
Aveda salons are known for their high end products, exceptional customer service and special «ritual.»
From the moment I walk in until the moment I leave, I am treated like family. The staff genuinely cares about every client and has a passion for what they do. Every single stylist there is extremely professional and does amazing work. It’s always hard to leave after your appointment just because you feel so good in that beautiful salon!
So, I have been going to Maddy Miller for the past year and she is truly an amazing stylist. She was just named Aveda Rookie of the Year and rightfully so. She has changed my look many times this past year. Regardless of the occasion or how much time has passed, Maddy’s work will always generate compliments.
I leave confident and fresh every time I leave that salon because of her and the other stylists. I recommend A Roland to anyone and guarantee that you will love the Aveda experience and never go back to anything else.

It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood in New Cumberland and walking into the salon is like walking into a gorgeous home with all the amenities of a fine studio; refreshments that are freshly brewed (try the cucumber water), a comfortable waiting room, intoxicating smells and a warm, inviting team that genuinely enjoys what they do.
Whether you’re looking for an edgy fun look, need a brow wax, getting your kids ready for picture day or just maintaining your color, this place is for you. All walks of life are welcome here and the environment cannot possibly make anyone feel less than at home.
