I went in for breakfast, and it was just okay. The wait staff is nice. I had eggs over easy and half a waffle. The eggs were cooked the way I like them (most places undercook them). The waffle was dry. Not sure yet if I will go back.

We were asked to leave after an hour because there were people waiting for a table. I’ve never been asked to leave a restaurant before and found this rude.

Best breakfast ever!!! The food and service was amazing! The owner came over to our table and shared with us how their food is home grown on their farm. The restaurant is homey and small and off the highway but definitely worth it! We will definitely stop here again and highly recommend that if you want a home cooked meal served with a smile this place is for you! My only regret is that I left without getting their oatmeal recipe!!! Go early because it fills up quickly

My hubby and I enjoyed a late breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Great home fries and yummy waffles.
It’s a cute little place, boasting only about 8 small tables that seat 2 or 4 people. They had counter dinning with about 5 stools. The kitchen looked very busy, and everyone seemed to be working like a well oiled machine. There were only two servers. The service was VERY friendly, but slow. The place was packed and the servers did take their time with each patron, which isn’t a bad thing.
I ordered the country breafast. The home fries were nice and crisp, unlike many other places. My pancake lacked, however my husband’s waffle was really fluffy and tasty. Upon ordering, I was given the option to substitute my pancake for French Toast though. Personally, I felt the pancake to be too think and bland.
The environment is extremely homey, and some people enjoyed coffee while reading or doing crossword puzzles. If in the area in the morning, I would say this is a good spot for some A.M. chow. It’s above what you would expect for the price and I’m happy with that!

Nothing fancy, however the food and friendly atmosphere more than make up for it. My husband and I eat breakfast at TJ’s almost every sunday. Great place

Really nothing remarkable at all about the meal. Pancakes were a bit dry, bacon was way overlooked just turned to bacon dust in your mouth. Homfries were fairly tasteless. Let’s face it you don’t have to be a gourmet cook to cook breakfast food and if you screw that up you shouldn’t even open for business. Service was friendly at least which is the only thing giving this a, second star.

The place is small but they move people in and out quickly so the wait is never too long. Regardless, It is worth the wait. Good home cooking… two thumbs up

Very small place, however. Best breakfast I’ve had in my life. No wait. I recommend Texas French Toast with a side pancake with bacon

While in the area for a Hershey’s Park visit, the family and I took a shot on TJ Homestyle. The food was great and the staff were friendly. We had a great meal.

Amazing food at fantastic prices! Some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had. The mess is great and the blueberry pancakes are incredible.

A fantastic breakfast in a friendly neighborly atmosphere. The owner stopped to chat and the waitress was great. Our table had a skillet, omelet and 3 different kinds of pancakes. The skillet had eggs, hash browns, sausage and cheese. I couldn’t stop eating. My wife’s omelet was packed with filling and yet was fluffy. My kids had pancakes that were delicious. You just can’t find pancakes like this.
I highly recommend. I love supporting the local businesses. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow! Definitely worth a little detour! This place is small but the wait for a table was pretty short for us. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious! I tried the special which was the cheese lovers bake with home fried potatoes. I added an egg and bacon thinking I might need a little more but I was stuffed after all that. Excellent breakfast; well worth the wait.

This place is awful. The male owner/​manager is incredibly rude. I was there with a friend, for the first time, and we were kicked out! He said «you’ve been here an hour, you need to leave, we have people waiting for this table!», since when was there a time limit on a table or meal? There were 5 of us! I don’t think an hour is too much time at all. I’m a paying customer! I have NEVER been treated so horribly in my life. :(The food was nothing to rave about, the place isn’t very clean. The parking is horrible, and the waitress NEVER came to check on us once we got our food. At one point i even tried flagging her down for water and she kept ignoring us. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Especially someone with kids! :(

I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. Found them through Unilocal and they totally lived up to expectations. We had breakfast here: great food, excellent service, courteous and friendly owner. Prices are reasonable and you get home style food!
There is nothing that I can fault and I am not someone who is usually lavish with praise.

I love TJ’s. This is my favorite lunch haunt for a quick and affordable meal. I typically stick to the same breakfast play but today I splurged on the burger, fries and beef noodle soup. A great ‘comfort’ food choice. Janet is a delight as a waitress. We really enjoy talking to her. If I had to find something at all to fault it’s that the dining room is cramped. But then again that adds to the neighborhood feel.

Amazing food. Very friendly staff. Sweet ambiance. Totally awesome home fries. I’ve never had so awesome home fries ever before. I am definitely going here again. 5 stars for both, food and service. Great job, guys !!!

Went because of reviews… so very glad I did. Felt like I was eating food my mom cooked for me, which means REAL food. Traveling as much as I do, I can spot real from semi real food. This was all real, made to order and wonderful. Service was great, too. Happy she told me not to get the Mike’s special cuz it would be too big– I couldn’t finish the country special! Hope I can return to this quaint, wonderful little spot!

Typical greasy spoon old time diner. All the basics. Freiendly service. Like eating in their kitchen. The eggs and pancakes were good. Just nothing very interesting that distinguishes from any other diner.

This exemplifies the ideal home style breakfast spot. They have cheap delicious food with great service.
A few tips:
Very small place with 8 total tables and a bar seating area. On the weekend try to miss the crowded times or you may end up waiting 20 plus minutes. Fyi absolutely worth every minute of the wait!
I have the michaels special normally with French toast or their awesome pancakes.
Small parking lot in front but free parking all around the streets in New Cumberland.

This place is awesome! We were staying at my cousin’s out in the middle of nowhere (somewhere around here lol) and I wasn’t expecting to find any great food places. We wanted to get breakfast takeout and she said this place was good. All three of us got different meals for breakfast and everyone loved theres. The french toast was some of the best I’d ever had, it was so good. And the bacon was cooked to perfection. The prices are crazy cheap! If I had a place like this around me, I would definitely be frequenting it often.
