This theatre is an absolute small-town treasure. The ambiance cannot be beat, nor can the prices! You have to wait to see new movies, just like any second-run, but it’s worth it(or alternatively, worth it for a second viewing!). I’m so glad the owners were able to keep the doors open and upgrade the systems. It’s a beautiful space and well-kept, unlike so many second run venues.

For my St. Clair, PA friends remember the Ritz! This is it in New Cumberland minus Ajax! A great old time theatre that still gives you the modern day movies! This great preserved theatre gives you that great ambience of growing up in small town America! The prices are a fraction of those of the major movie theaters and it is a more comfortable atmosphere. You may have to wait a little longer for a movie you want to see but I assure you it’s worth the wait. Nothing beats the warmth and charm of a local movie theatre preserved in time.

Has the really cool old feel of how going to the movies used to be. The only thing I didn’t like was the seats. They are not comfortable and very little leg room, but I guess new seats would ruin the old feel.

Fabulous movie theater! It transports you back in time with the interior architecture and the prices. $ 3 admission and snacks that have normal prices, not the over-inflated prices the big theaters charge.

A great old movie theatre with movies for 3.00. Can’t beat that!

This theater is amazing. It looks very authentic, and has that old fashion fun movie feel to it, as soon as you walk in. Also the seating is good, the price is cheap, and the movie section is usually spot on. The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because they don’t have a larger selection of movies(it would be nice to see indie f

The West Shore Theatre is cheap($ 3) and a pleasant movie experience. You have to wait to see things there, since it shows movies in their final weeks before leaving theatres all-together. The snacks are also affordable, but nothing special or unique. It’s so difficult to see movies today that don’t cost $ 8 or more, so this is a nice affordable way to take the family to the movies. Get there early because it is just one theatre and usually only one showing a night(with two movies playing each evening — one during«prime set» and one during a «late set,» or around 7 and 9). I’ve seen a couple of movies here that didn’t have any open seats, despite the fact that the movie has been in theatres for weeks or even months(I’m looking at you, Star Trek).

This place is absolutely adorable. It’s tiny and they don’t really show the big blockbuster films when they first come out — but it reminds me of a classic 40s/50s cinema. Movies are only 3 $ as well, and it’s so cute! I always see cute little old couples coming out and it makes me feel like I’m living 50 years ago. I love it!
